What you hear in this track are the very high pitched and ultrasonic parts of the crickets songs slowed down and brought into the audible spectrum. Originally these frequencies were mostly between 20 and 40 kHz, well beyond our normal hearing range. 
The result sounds quite unusual, a bit creepy and extraterrestrial but also very cool. It doesn't sound like crickets anymore, more like dinosaurs, I imagine... or a gang of drunk roosters... LOL

Operation Aquatic starts off chill with some strong ambience using mysterious pads and sound effects. 

After some ambience, the track moves on to some simple mysterious beats, creating an atmosphere as if you are exploring something interesting deep down in the ocean.

After the beat, the ambience intensifies again, but this time with a dark twist. A roaring bassline and some eerie bottle flutes fade in aswell as some orchestral drums building up the tension.

The track then drops with some heavy orchestral drums together with some shakers, creatng an atmoshpere as if you're escaping the ocean from something dangerous that's trying to destroy you.

The track then ends with some more ambience, although you decide whether it's a victory or defeat...
