DESIGN_'s 2023 IBIZA SAMPLER hits the white isle delivering an electrifying collection of Balearic-style Deep Tech, Minimal, and Tech House sounds, combining a blend of fresh and established returning artists. From hard-hitting beats to mesmerizing melodies, this compilation is perfect for anyone looking to experience the best of Ibiza's vibrant music scene. Showcasing some of the best tracks to listen out for this season. DESIGN's aim was to create something that they could proudly present on the island, offering a diverse collection of styles.

DESIGN_'s album boasts music from the big man himself 'Ryan Taft' while providing continued support for returning artists Melloca, Seven77, Maty Badini, Lennon (UK) but not forgetting the search for upcoming individuals from around the globe including fresh new artists Callum Blackburn, Pardalize and our first female artist Sandra Silver.

Design_Records is the creation of DJ/ Producer, Ryan Taft. He plans for the label to showcase the very best of fresh, new Minimal / Tech sounds from rising talent and established names, in equal measure. 

The label’s second release is an EP from Design’s head honcho Ryan Taft. ‘Let It Roll’ will greet ravers and listeners on the 22nd of October 2021.

The EP features two dance floor ready tracks: ‘Let It Roll’ and ‘Trust’. Firmly rooted in the sweet spot of minimal House and Tech House, they collectively pay homage to the original Tech House sound, taking the listeners back to the genre’s roots.

‘Let It Roll’ is minimal, yet utilises a raw, glitchy soundscape and an ethereal female vocal that elevates the track to a surprisingly, emotionally charged place. 

‘Trust’ is a true Tech House gem, exploring rich, squelchy stabs and a sultry vocal line that will twist and pull the listener all over the dance floor. 

Taft reworked these tracks from a large back catalog of his unreleased music, taking them to new heights. He is delighted with both tracks and feels they showcase the true sound of Design_ Records.

Released on Ryan Taft's own imprint DESIGN_ Records, The Remix Keeps all the key elements and the strong groove of the original track
Ryan Taft produced the remix putting a strong emphasis on the house stabs creating a rhythmic chord progression and fresh new bass groove to give a true minimal house feel to the remix.

‘Flamenco (Ryan Taft Remix)’is another topnotch remix from Ryan Taft that explores a rich sounding minimal soundscape that gained huge support from many artists with the likes of Jamie Jones including the track in his hot robot radio show. The  release also made many top chart positions including a number 1 in the beatport Minimal / Deep Tech top 10 releases.
 
'Flamenco (Ryan Taft Remix)' is a real glitchy and impressive minimal groover that explores a full sonic 
spectrum cleverly mixed to entice any dance floor to move to the tracks funky groove. Keeping parts of the main vocal and essences of the flute and guitar taft brings an equally groovy bass recorded from the Moog Sub 37 and Micro Korg synths followed by modulated glitchy mid-range perc’s to fill the entire spectrum.

'Missing channel' Is loaded with quirky Perc’s and FX ear candy that flow into its deep sub heavy bassline. A simple but effective vocal then draws the listener into dreamy pad sounds before releasing its energy into hard hitting drops.

'Get down' brings more quirks with 80's style percussive hits that soon come into their own when paired with the raunchy grit filled bassline that is sure to bring out your best bass face to the dance floor.

'Club Is On (A Trip)' is brought to life with a club ready acid riff and bouncy vocal vox loops. The track takes its listeners on a trip when hit with its stripped back dreamy break from the sounds of the Micro Korg synth, before being hit with powerful stand out drops and a hard-hitting bassline.

The latest collaboration between Ryan Taft and Melloca is set to make waves with its infectious beat and unique blend of styles. 

'Differences' is a fusion of Latin-inspired tech house and minimal deep tech, with a tribal twist. Featuring groovy percussion and a quirky Latin vocal that will keep you moving. 'Differences' is a high-energy dance floor filler that showcases the strengths of both Melloca and Ryan Taft, each bringing their own unique sound to the mix.

'Balearic Intentions' is the creation from head honcho Ryan Taft. It was made with a true Balearic sound in mind. Deep ambient sounds and solid sub bass create the perfect match for those Ibiza sunset parties and closing off the album with something truly special.

Dark repelling grooves combined with an essence of Hip Hop, warehouse stabs and of course Ryan Taft's signature sound is what make up this unique 2 track EP that is sure to make its mark this year. Ryan Taft's latest release 'Shadows EP' drops later in the year on March 8th, 2024.

‘Shadows’ brings a dark vibe to the dance floor, flooded with hip hop and warehouse style sounds that create a real sincere feel that is backed by its vocal. The heavy bassline combined with the quirky percs, stabs and choir samples make this track easily recognisable and one of a kind.

‘Poison' kicks off with a strong drum groove carried by Tom's and Percs which complement the low bassline.
This track is lighter than the A-Side however it still holds a darker feel, it gets brought to life by a strong female vocal that carries throughout the track.

DESIGN_ Records are excited to bring this repelling EP that could be recognized as Ryan's strongest to date.

DESIGN_ RECORDS label owner, Ryan Taft is a dedicated DJ and Producer from Liverpool. His goal is for the label to only release music he truly believes in regardless of an artist’s status in the music industry.

Ryan credits the scene in Ibiza as the launch pad for his House Music journey.
