@deniraw can be described as a signal point indicator that is randomly moves around the middle of an area between numerous flows and schools of techno music, where dominated are minimal of the second wave of Detroit, pioneer shranz of Berlin, metallic hardness of the 90s UK, hypnotic textures of modern Scandinavia, ironical insanity of Brighton, and most of all, "gipno" flow of Dnipro. In a high school, Vlad Maksymenko started to attend parties and became a DJ in a reason that time there were only two DJs in Dnipro region and about ten artists in the whole Ukraine, who played technoid.   

Through years, he changed 4 aliases according to replacement of genre-in-focus and got fundamental understanding of drum'n'bass, house and UKG space. As fathers' said, the techno requires ones who's already grown up. So Deniraw appeared closer to the mid-10ths with awareness that techno is religion, hope, love and faith.  

Being a kind of resistive person, Deniraw is mostly inspired by his native city indifferent atmosphere and mentality, how it is changes with generations, all-the-way relationship drama and harms of feelings, punky background, extreme and dangerous situations, complicated circumstances as well as life, full of unpredictability and irony.   

The key influence on artistic way in electronic music since childhood Deniraw got from his father and uncle "Mura", PVNDV, SATA, Hennadiy Zhukov, Anton Zenchenko, Andrew Deme, Stanislav Tolkachev, Nastia.   For the techno be heard right and always, Deniraw was collaborating and even participating in establishment with all related to the genre clubs, party-bars and institutions of Dnipro. 

As a promoter, Vlad started in 2015 with project Monolit!. At the moment he is running UNTITLED, a side-project for nowadays, Ukrainian charity half-parties, while his main sect Ø56 is off until returning of the night to Ukraine.

SPLIT#4 is the final release for the 10th anniversary year of the π project, featuring Elements of Joy (a.k.a. UVB) and Stave, both returning to the label after their earlier appearances with PI08 and PI07 respectively. The vinyl release showcases six original tracks—three from each artist—with bonus tracks included in the digital release.

On the A-side, Elements of Joy delivers 3 original tracks of New-Beat leaning techno, including one song that features vocals by Zanias.
The opening track, "Prutaneousa (A1)" connects the dots between his previous entry on the label and this one with the use of retro, 80s inspired vocal samples, but this time on a rather driving beat sequence than an industrial/noise one.
"A Master of Distress (A2)" dives deeper into a hypnotic mood while “Vampiric Habits (A3)” takes it even further to an ethereal atmosphere through the input of Australian vocalist Zanias.

On the B-side, Chicago producer Stave presents his signature hypnotic, broken-beat techno. The side opens with "Weingart (B1)", a characteristically Stave textured track. "900MPH (B2)" combines IDM elements with dynamic broken rhythms, while "Capital, Selves (B3)" blends experimental with Grey Area influences.

The digital release includes two more bonus tracks: an energetic EBM techno piece by Elements of Joy and an atmospheric techno by Stave, completing this diverse split release.

SPLIT#4 is a fitting close to the project's milestone year, celebrating a decade of our π vision.
