On April 15, 2013, I was in the Fenway area hanging out with my friends when we heard on the news there was an explosion near the finish line. My friends and I instinctively rushed to that area because we had classmates who were working as medical volunteers.  After running a mile, the city was placed on lockdown and we couldn't reach our classmates. At the time, I was living in Waltham which is 9 miles from Boston. All public transit was suspended and I was forced to sleep at my friends. We later found out the classmates were okay. And after a few days, I managed to return home.  Friday morning, April 19 I was getting ready for school, when I noticed on my phone a dozen some missed calls and almost 100 text messages. All the texts said don't go outside, the shooter is in your neighborhood! Later that night, they caught Tsarnaev in Watertown; about 1.5 miles from my condo.

It's hard to believe...4 years ago.
