Today's Premiere is by Vancouver based producer Jesse Bru. Released through French imprint Egoplanet, his latest offering, the "Roach Fingers" EP, features four tracks of raw yet elaborate house music. Take the title track here : a clever use of samples, solid beats, syncopated Rhodes parts, the Canadian producer distils proper late night warehouse groove through your ears and body. For the latest release on Rob da Bank’s dance focussed imprint Silver Bear Recordings, longtime collaborators Krywald & Farrer have turned in a three track EP. The Percolate residents are well respected across London for their exemplary skills behind the decks, and the wonderfully titled ‘Top Pocket Persies’ EP is evidence their talent also extends to the studio. Today we premiere the lead track, ‘Spoon Billed Sandpiper’.

‘Spoon Billed Sandpiper’ is testament to the duo’s keen understanding of songwriting. The song begins with a meditative drum pattern, which grows more propulsive as pads begin to swirl around it. An early breakdown is accompanied by a heart torn vocal sample before the beat comes back in, sounding even more frenetic to ensure to send the floor into raptures.
