Bio:
An individual who has positioned himself at the forefront of the Canadian house music scene, Toronto-based artist Devv continues to build on his reputation as one of the scene's most creative and prolific producers.

His 2017 Blue Dream EP is what first turned heads to his production work, receiving international attention and widespread support from many in the underground scene. Since then, he has put out a steady stream of quality releases on labels such as Blind Vision, Madtech, House on Wax, Kina Music, Monocord, Farmat and All Blak Records. With his ambition in the studio continuing to build momentum, in 2020 he released his debut album Hypercolour on Bandcamp - a 10 track release incorporating a variety of genres such as minimal house, breaks, ambient/downtempo and drum and bass. His creative drive didn't stop there, and in 2021 we saw the launch of his own vinyl label Yuna Imprint  with close friend and longtime collaborator Paul Quzz. Together, they use the platform to showcase their original productions, while also welcoming remixes by some of their favourite producers - the forthcoming third release features remixes by none other than Audio Werner and Arapu.

As a DJ, he is a seasoned selector, with the capability to take his sets whichever direction he chooses, whether warming up the floor for Rhadoo or closing it out for Josh Butler. Some of the artists he supported in 2022 alone include Chris Stussy, Djoko, East End Dubs, Sweely, Leo Pol, Janeret, Black Loops, Rossi, Cinthie, Seb Zito and DoubtingThomas. Add in some global appearances in Paris, Rome, Berlin and Playa del Carmen, it's only a matter of time until the Toronto native takes his career to new heights.

Matt was one of the first bodies on a beatnik hosted dance floor way back in 2018 when we managed to get Tristan Da Cunha to come down to our very first party with a beg and a plea. 

Not only was he the first on the dance floor but he then didn’t part ways with until 3 blurry days later, spent in a jam packed Manchester airbnb where the no party policy was rudely unadhered to. There’s a solid foundation for a friendship. 

Matts part of the collective responsible for bringing The Imaginarium in leeds to life which is nothing sort of an effervescent cauldron of culture, sick heads and wall to wall beats. We need more Matt JLs.

Self Luv is a project in dedication to the human spirit. This project was meant to be a blank canvas for each artist to show their unique form of creative luv - with the only commonality being the vocal. 

Artists from all around worked together to make this one happen - Puerto Rico, Romania, Toronto, Dominican Republic, Detroit, and St. Petersburg (USA).

For the final edition of the year, we welcome local music head and friend of the series, TIJN.

A well renowned producer and selector in the scene, Martin has a discography thicker than a novel with releases on labels like Raw, Aesthetic and Pleasure Zone, his beats have moved people on dance floors all over the world.

He doesn't just stop there though. He also runs his own labels in OGE, Curtea Veche, Into The Wizard's sleeve and Spooky Loops. On top of that he has his on music mastering company In Haus Mastering.

Having had Martin play for us on numerous occasions, it felt only right that he joined the series and has delivered a mix to be listened to over and over again...
