If we go deep into how this shared world of music is woven together and our part in it, we realise we’re all hubs in a certain sense. Showcasing these talents is, after all, a privilege for us at each and every front, especially when the guests in question have a mission so similar to our own. CYK are tireless cultural agitators that have managed to promote profound change, great parties and wonderful music all at once in their hometown of Tokyo via a multitude of festive initiatives. The mix they put together for this episode perfectly encapsulates their identity, one that is grounded in the ethos, guided by the logos and inspired by the mythos of House Music. The result, as expected, is an excursion in time and space, matersfully displaying the many transmutations the genre went through across the globe and throughout its history.

One of the heads behind San Francisco’s infamous wine hole Bar Part Time, he channels the spirit of cigarette-stained leather booths and dimly lit dance floors into a mix dripping with attitude. Expect Rock-tinged Disco, strutting basslines, and plenty of grit, all primed for a cruise down the boulevard. Pixie is a member of the record shop "RECORD SHOP rare groove" in Osaka. She has steadily gained recognition in Japan and abroad for her mysterious playstyle, which was established through her unique interpretation of house music, mainly Chicago house and Italo disco.

With a rich international performance history, she has graced stages at Bambi's and Do West Fest in Toronto, Canada, Yu Yu in Mexico City, Zodiac in Jakarta, Peels in Bali, Grey Area and Rabbit Hole in Taipei, Savage in Hanoi, and numerous other overseas gigs.

In Japan, she performed at Rural, the long-established festival, the Rainbow Disco Club’s pre-event celebrating its 15th anniversary in 2024, Larry Heard’s show in Japan, and more.

In addition to her DJ work, she has provided mixes for NTS Radio, The Vinyl Factory, and other media at home and abroad.
