In the near future, Long Island rhymesayer Little Vic will be unleashing a new project made up entirely of unreleased Loosies. Isn’t that a contradiction in terms? The short answer is, yes. Rather than troubling yourself over a little bit of illogic, though, I suggest simply hitting play and vibing out to the set’s latest single, Bad Blood. Skammadix mans the boards on this boom-bap banger, layering a dusty sample over a head-noddble breakbeat as the Deep Concepts signee flaunts his mic skills and coolly dispatches the competition. Loosies as yet lacks a drop date but, if this cut’s whet your appetite for more, you can, of course, keep it locked to the Booth for further singles and release details.

The coveting of societal acceptance has reached new heights in a social media ("like" based) dominated planet. You find more people looking down (at their phones) then looking up to see what's happening with our culture nowadays; increasingly becoming robots to a system dangling products to the wide eyed eager consumer. M-Dot's latest single 'Days Are All The Same' paints a lucid world of these exact human shortcomings. The social/political narrative is carefully laced upon the back-drop of Hi-Tek's (Snoop Dogg, Big L, Eminem, 50 Cent, GhostFace Killah) eccentric drum arrangement. 

"Days Are All The Same" follows the releases of the horror-core cinematic 'Dreamscape' (Prod. By Marco Polo), the innovative 360° visual 'Give It To Me' & the impetus latent 'Shine' (Ft. Method Man). All of the aforementioned appear on M-Dot's forthcoming "egO anD The eneMy", due to drop 1/27/17 (additional production by Large Professor, Marley Marl, Khrysis, Buckwild, 7L & more). How about some unreleased Lord Finesse/DJ Premier from the "Funky Technician" sessions recorded in 1989? Lord Finesse and Underboss Ent. have teamed up with Slice Of Spice to release this demo session as a crazy 5" record. Hip Hop Archaeology 101.

"What you have right here is the start of a song created during the making of the Funky Technician LP, that was never finished. Lyrically, it was actually parts of a live routine that I was trying to convert into a song for the album. DJ Premier found the loop and started putting the track together, but once Stu Fine (Wild Pitch Records owner) heard the track he immediately made me stop recording due to the extremely raw content. So this unfinished track remained stashed for over 20 years until recently. It's funny 'cos listening to it now makes me wonder what the hell I was thinking [Laughing]. I'm personally glad Stu & DJ Premier made me change my mind, but the track is now being released as an extremely rare limited edition promo. You can thank Rich (Slice Of Spice) for the constant persuasion 'cos if it was left to me I'd have left it buried in the stash!" LORD FINESSE
