The Frohlocker have accrued from a periodical club session of the same name, which was brought to
life in Kaiserslautern (Germany) in early 2006. By mixing a wide variety of groovy, breaky and bass
oriented musical styles, they early became a name in the Global Beats Movement. Through the years
they played in many Cities and Festivals meanwhile their style always meanders through the rich
diversity of electronic sound, which is reflecting in their different productions as well.

Florcita is a fusion of the original Huayno from Peru of the 70's and a pushing swingbass. The focus
lays on the emphazising of the versatile and rich scale of traditional Latin music from the Andes, cost
and tropical areas. It's a respectful collaboration of a cultural human legacy blended and revived in a
contemporary but crossover electronic vesture, full of rhythms and exotic moods.
On the creative side, there are no boundaries, but it's more difficult when it comes to the approach
to provide emotional tunes that makes you dance immediately.

Born and raised in Abu Dhabi, UAE, music was one of Hani's first talents of recognition. He grew up being more inclined to the arts and particpated in a series of musical and dramatic experiments in high school where he played major characters as an actor and primarily a vocalist. He was given the opportunity to travel with his high school thespian group and perform in theater festivals in Nebraska and New York. He earned a Professionals' Diploma in Film Making from SAE Institute in Amman, Jordan, where he discovered that music was his core passion all along. He attended the National Music Conservatory in Amman where he studied Arabic music majoring in Voice and Oud. He traveled with the Jordanian Arabic Ensemble to the EuroMed Youth Music Expo Festival in Cyrpus to represent Jordan. There he played the Nay flute and sang folkloric Jordanian songs. 

He attended a 6 month Master class in opera singing at the Lebanese National Conservatory. He was privileged to learn directly from his idol, the legendary Sabah Fakhri, and his son Anas, what it means to be a true performer.

He led his own Arabic ensemble, gave Oud lessons, and managed his own home studio producing soundtracks and original works. Discovering his own fanbase in Assiut, Egypt, he initiated an adventurous visit to Assiut and performed for his fans who greeted him with exceptional care. 

He currently resides in Chicago and is united with the best Arab musicians in the city, the Diwan Al-Han Ensemble, as a Qanunist and vocalist. 

Being apathetic towards music of his own origin in his earlier years, he eventually came to the revelation that Arabic music is a unique combination of Middle Eastern sounds of antiquity augmented and executed with perfection by Arabs, crowning it with the art of language. Knowing that, Hani believed that it is a responsibility to stop this art from dying by developing and producing more original works.

Have you ever gotten lost in thoughts and dreams while gazing at the night sky? Those celestial bodies sparkling in the deep dark blue have caught our attention and driven intrepid explorations since the dawn of time. The mysterious immensity surrounding our beautiful little planet has always stimulated our fantasies: scientists and philosophers have found challenges in it, while artists have found nourishment for their creativity. Our talented friend mUnO seems to fall in the latter category, since he told us that astronomy, the night sky and the concept of infinity itself, serves as the inspiration to create ‘cosmic soup’, which is the way he describes his own sound. mUnO is the borderless project in constant evolution, launched in 2015 by Gonzalo Urtizberea, also known as Gurtz and 1/2 of Kermesse. Gurtz formed mUnO as a way to express himself without stylistic constraints and to experiment with new instruments and samples. His latest EP, Mareas, meaning ‘tides’ in Spanish, includes two enchantingly melodic original tracks and four lively vibrant remixes by none other than Lagartijeando, Vruno, Betelgeize, and Señora. The beautifully diverse styles brought by these incredible artists blend perfectly with the motifs of the originals, adding some spicy beats to the cosmic soup. We at UCR are honoured to serve such a delicious meal to you, dear sonic diners, so please enjoy it…or should we say ‘¡Que disfruten!’.
