Rough demo of a song I wrote today

TEXT:
We sat by the lake and the sky soared blue above us
Soft cerulean framing the rocky peaks which gently brushed against the clouds
The million-year-old stones gave way first to pale green grass, then to darker emerald trees
Then finally, hundreds of meters down, a delicate beach held the water 
Nestled in the valley, bathed in the afternoon sun.

The water flicked at our feet, stretching before us like a kaleidoscope carpet,
It reflected the land in which it lay, refracting the colors above it, from the beach,
The trees, the grass, the stones, and finally the sky, as if the whole world was staring back at us 
Through the water, not a copy of how it looked, but an offering of how it felt.

And to an onlooker we were not standing next to each other,
But I felt you beside me, soul touching soul,
As I watched you in your white hat,
At rest, sitting on the water with the colors of the world glistening around you.
