'Connected welcomes German Brigante to the label this February, delivering his stellar three-track.

Residing in the South of Spain, Malaga native German Brigante is a respected artist with an authentic and distinctive style. As a performer, he has led global events alongside the likes of Denniz Cruz and Paco Osuna, whilst attracting the attention of Solomun and Dixon from his high-quality releases on Dirtybird, Dynamic Exploited and Get Physical.

Title track ‘Genisys’ combines arpeggiated synths with spiralling twists and a heavy bassline to transport listeners to towering heights. Next up, ‘Ombu’, brings the heat as fluctuating chords work against ferocious pads and metallic drums. To close, ‘Temple’ is the most ruthless cut of all, here we see Brigante fuse dubby chords with deep stabs and catchy vocals, serving up yet another quintessential peak-time offering'

Steven De Francesca's big bang into music production occurred shortly after his first experience at a Toronto warehouse party and the immediate connection he felt to electronic music. The vibe, mystique, colourful people with no reservations, and freedom to express themselves were all modules which spawned his appetite to turn his passion for music into creating his own. 

Also once a lead singer in the Toronto based rock band Black Heaven, De Francesca had been presented the opportunity to broaden his artistic palette by dabbling in acoustic guitar, piano and drums. It was this stint of music collabs coupled with his entrance into the underground music scene that brought fourth the urge to further educate himself in music production, and after realizing his subsequent talent to do so he enrolled in the Trebas Institute for Technology in 1998. 

Stylistically compounding an array of musical influences, De Francesca combines the brilliance in the acoustics of classic rock, with cavernous melodies of deep house and the driving beats of tech. Adding to the mix a bionic fusion with his flare for funk and the organic sounds and synthesis of current audio play, Steve brings to life colour and flavour to sanction a complete journey into musical bliss. 

Inspired by the darker feel of time and space, S Def's music presents a level of diminution best expressed through audio frequency. Illuminating this intensity through flowing funky grooves, a touch of soul presents itself parallel his charisma; a trait which he says, “Allows his artistry to evoke various levels of emotion within the ears of the receiver”. 


His edge as a producer lends itself to the fundamental realm of combining an old world mentality of precision with the new world manifestation into technology. Concentrating on the extraction of new sounds from an open bank of genre’s and manipulating a vast array of VST's are two focal points in his craft of artistry. A huge supporter of Ableton, S Def says he was “clipped” once he switched over from Cubase.
