For the first single from deRijk's second LP called 'Bifurcations', Melee is a fast and aggressive track that sees his sound turn darker and faster than his previous releases - punchy kicks underly a nervous, moving lead synth that develops throughout the track. Melee is accompnied by an alternative mix (Trench Revision) that sees the drums swapped out for a breaks-style higher tempo version that's ready for the club. And rounding out the A-side is “An Evening With Soplica,” a dreamy soundscape anchored by deep synth hooks and buoyed by soft hi-hats and rhythmic cowbell hits - percussive bliss.
