Rosa Anschütz ( 1997-) is a German artist who lives between Berlin and Vienna. In her practice, she investigates the different fields of „Transmedia arts“ with a focus on sound, object and scenery — photography and film. In 2019 Rosa Anschütz released her debut EP „Rigid“ on „Quiet Love Records“. The year after was followed by the album „Votive“, which connected her artistic practice with the music. For each of the nine tracks, she crafted small objects such as creating the scene image and the design of the release.
She will finish her art studies at the University of applied arts Vienna with her diploma,
and is involved in many projects, that will connect music and any physical output there shall be.

White Birches, the acclaimed Swedish dark wave duo, return with “Breathing”, the first single from their upcoming third album A New Reign. The track sets the tone for the album with its raw pulse, hypnotic synths, deep bass and intense vocals.
Written in the aftermath of loss and upheaval, the song captures both pressure and relief. It is about survival — the simple act of breathing, where one wave of sound inhales and the next exhales.

Fans of Chelsea Wolfe, PJ Harvey and Anna von Hausswolff will recognize the haunting balance between fragility and ferocity.

Taken Apart is a document of the city and the human psyche and 21st century social politics. It incorporates sequences of concrete sound collages and reportage-like location recordings set against layers of string, synth and choir. The follow up to 2015’s Broken Memory Machine, Taken Apart shares many of it’s predecessors traits. However, the reflective romanticism is gone – if Broken Memory Machine told a story from the past, Taken Apart unfolds right here in the wide eyed present, with the listener at the white hot centre of it all.

Welcome!
At this page you will find a diverse load of songs, both old and new. I started out with the psychedelic, freak folk band Älgarnas Trädgård 1969-76. In -77 me and Karl Gasleben started the space punk band Cosmic Overdose, which reformed as Twice a Man -81, partly responsible for the cold wave scene. In the middle of the 80s Twice a Man started to make music for theatre, film, dance performance, exhibitions and computergames.
