The track is one of the final batch of remixes from his acclaimed 'Lifer' album, with Fur Coat (Crosstown), Maceo Plex as Maetrik and Addison Groove also offering up reinterpretations.

We jest (in part), but honestly who can blame us when the London imprint are as unerringly consistent as death and taxes – except, y'know, the flip side of the positive-negative axis. "Closing Acts" unmoors abstract effects from an anchored thud seemingly at will; you expect it'll find its way into more bags of 12.30-1.30 slot holders than closing acts, mind. As a bonus, artwork for WHYT004 comes via Matthew Kent of brilliant, inventive mix emporium Blowing Up The Workshop. All the more reason to cop the physical in mid-May.

We discovered Gergely Szilveszter Horváth aka Route 8 early 2014 with a terrific relouse on Nous Music. Since then the hungarian producer never ceased to amaze us and quickly made his mark to become one of the most promising talents of a whole new emerging scene. His "Dry Thoughts EP" and "This Raw Feeling" releases on Lobster Theremin were really outstanding and it's all naturally that Geri came to the conclusion to launch his own imprint. "This Is Our Time" is therefore a 101% hungarian label run by him and his mate Soundbank aka the Lathèquex boyz, presenting a special 10” from Route 8 with 2 tracks to make your lonely pizza nights better (Pizza artwork by Mirjam Gerjeni). After impressing with releases like High Times and the Hustle EP, young Berlin talent Vincent Vedat returns with what might be his best release to date. Mixing equal parts sleaze and sensuality, the porn-themed 69 packs in six delicious dalliances into one tidy package.
The title track kicks off in heady fashion, heavy on the atmospheric layers, trademark Vedat replayed samples and throbbing kick drums. Moody Porn goes for that heavily swung, wonky / woozy house sound. GMYM gets more energetic with infectious percussion, rough tape sounds and soulful vocal cuts. Unisex channels classic US garage swing and bump in a wonderfully deep way with gorgeous chords and no need for a bassline. Dreamy Porn steps things up a notch again with hazy vocal samples, detuned bass warbles and sweet synths. Sweet Agony pits heavily distorted electric piano chords against a dulcet vocal refrain, a truly beautiful juxtaposition.
