My second Disco House Track inspired by Defected Records. I especially like the lyrics in my track has they reflect my Christian belief. And I found that they work brilliantly in this genre of Music.

So Many Times

I was inspired by the lyrics mostly on this track. Especially the lines; "Begging for forgiveness, for something I had said." I think that every person can relate to these lyrics. I also wanted to give this track an Old Skool Disco House feel, while keeping it fresh. I think that I achieved that in this song.

I have been producing music on and off for around 18 years. In the early stages I did this mostly for Community Work, and also as performance pieces at university. This is because I completed a Diploma in Music Studio Work, and a degree in Experimental Music. I mainly produced relaxed music, and experimental music that followed in the footsteps of Aphex Twin, the Orb, Steve Reich etc. However, I did have a love for the Funky House and Disco House scene from Defected Records. I would occasionally listen to Artists such as Junior Jack, Deep Dish, Joey Negro, Martin Solveig etc. After university my life took a different direction, and for some years I performed in a Worship Band at Church and helped with the sound equipment. I did produce some tracks but felt the style did not represent what I wanted to do. I wanted to create House Music that represented the Gospel. So, it was when I first heard Michelle Weeks’ song The Light that I was inspired to investigate more Christian Artists from the House Scene. I listened further to Artists such as Candi Stanton, Sophie Lloyd & Dames Brown etc. Now I have a love and a passion for Disco House. I feel that this represents what I want to do with my music, and that is to make people dance, because that is how I feel within my faith.
