Troye Lilley - "5 Years"

The first of two remix discs of Ivano's excellent LP. Up first are Bristol residents 'Outboxx' who bring a slick electro vibe to '113'; Chilled and melodic with a classic sounding b-line, this is one of the best remixes to feature on the label to date. Flip for two remixes by Roger Gerressen, a member of the ESHU collective along with Mr Tetelepta. His '117' remix is a slick house affair again with the b-line very much in the fore. His take on '119' is a much deeper affair, dubbed in it's outlook with the melancholic piano stabs of the original a main feature.

Nature cannot be tamed, instructed, shaped nor thought of because we are instructed by it; it is inspirational to our minds: to be the creative demonstration which truly paints the exotic substance existing, and flourishing within it – the resonance of calmness that resides in every being. With this motto SMR (Solitude Mind Recordings) Deep Core Sessions ventures to the profound transcendence within the unconquered boundaries found in the nature of listening through distant, arresting, freeing, and deeply capturing electronic sounds. As it is the emphasis of SMR (Solitude Mind Recordings our focus is to present an array of exclusive to distinctive genres of a diverse detour into the contours of electronic music. We diligently in pursuit of extraordinariness, swift, and clinical demonstration found outside the ordinary, monotonous even usual DJ sets than are normally in offer in clubs. The eloquent substance of Deep Core Sessions, under SMR, devotes itself to effortless technique of playing rare deep electronic music; to reshape the horizon upon which the foundation of DJs has been portrayed. As it has with new beginnings comes new knowledge, unconquered grounds, seismic awe to elevated spaces of thought and a kaleidoscope of tranquil pictorial sounds to paint one’s mind as it takes a hermitage voyage of self-discovery. Deep Core Sessions are precisely the driving and leading icons to this solitary exploration in Electronic sounds captured and framed with echoing ambience. Comprising of a variety of eccentric DJs influenced in the same canon of electronic-atmospheric genre but with various tenacity, and pedigree for moody mosaics in electronics. The objective of SMR through DCS is to harness the neglected spaces visible within clubbing scenes which we see as loopholes, closed portals to an abandoned universe awaiting to be presented to an ingenious crowd with an ear for a series of subtlety, reserved, melancholic and lounge scenes and partying. SMR in its foundation is to present the obverse side of solitude – the presentation of solitary and personal experience in the tidal waves of electronic serenity. Again, as a collective of DJs our boundless aspiration is devoted solely to take the listener to landscapes of distant yearning, of cleansing and purifying sounds. DCS is an almost ascetic path of electronic music taken individually by each DJ to embrace the audience with all the wonders attainable if the listener follows through. Take electronic music as a channel of emptiness and the DJ as the silence residing henceforth throughout each set in succession with other DJs.
