How to Make an Omelet
    What You Need
    2 	EGGS
    2 	Tbsp. water
    1/8 	tsp. salt
    Dash 	pepper
    1 	tsp. butter
    1/3 to 1/2 	cup filling, such as shredded cheese, finely chopped ham, baby spinach

Directions
    BEAT eggs, water, salt and pepper in small bowl until blended.

    HEAT butter in 7 to 10-inch nonstick omelet pan or skillet over medium-high heat until hot. TILT pan to coat bottom. POUR IN egg mixture. Mixture should set immediately at edges.

    GENTLY PUSH cooked portions from edges toward the center with inverted turner so that uncooked eggs can reach the hot pan surface. CONTINUE cooking, tilting pan and gently moving cooked portions as needed.

    When top surface of eggs is thickened and no visible liquid egg remains, PLACE filling on one side of the omelet. FOLD omelet in half with turner. With a quick flip of the wrist, turn pan and INVERT or SLIDE omelet onto plate. SERVE immediately.

how to make ramen

Ingredients

    For the stock:
    3 cups of chicken stock
    2 cups water
    3 garlic cloves
    4 tbsp soy sauce
    1 tsp worsterchire sauce
    1/2 tsp chinese five spice
    dash of chilli powder
    1 tsp white sugar
    2 slices of ginger
    For the topping:
    375g ramen noodles
    400g sliced cooked pork or chicken breast (marinate in soy sauce and garlic)
    100g baby english spinach leaves
    4tbsp corn kernels
    2 hard-boiled eggs, peeled and halved
    For the garnish:
    1 sheet of sliced nori seaweed paper (5cm by 1/2cm each)
    sprinkle of sesame seeds
    sliced green spring onions (shallots)

Method

        Slice and fry the pork or chicken in a frypan with 1 clove of chopped garlic, soy sauce and sesame oil. Put into a bowl and reserve.

        In the pot of boiling water, cook the ramen noodles for 5min then strain.

        In a stockpot or large saucepan, place the chicken stock, 4 pieces of halved garlic cloves, soy sauce, worsterchire, ginger, five spice and chilli powder together and bring to boil. Reduce to simmer for 5 min. Taste the stock and adjust to your liking. If it is too salty add some sugar, add more soy if you prefer it saltier.

        Divide the noodles into 4 soup bowls. Arrange the pork on top of the noodles, along with the spinach, half egg, and 1tbsp corn kernels each.

        Bring the stock to boil once again, then take it off and divide the stock in the soup bowls.

        Sprinkly the nori shavings (1/4 sheet each), spring onions and sesame on top of each soup bowl. Allow the spinach to slightly wilt before serving.

Sopas (Macaroni Soup)

Sopas is commonly know by Pinoys but it’s a Filipino dish version of Minestrone, which is a favorite Filipino pasta that is usually serve as a snack but it can also be a complete meal by itself.

Ingredients :

    2 tbsp. oil
    1 tbsp. unsalted butter
    1 onion, sliced
    3 cloves garlic, crushed
    6 cups water
    2 chicken thighs (bone-in)
    salt and pepper, to taste
    1 carrot, diced
    2 cups elbow macaroni (or shell macaroni)
    3 Vienna sausages, thinly sliced
    1/4 lb. cabbage, thinly sliced
    1 cup milk
    4 chopped green onions, for garnish

(Cooking Measurements )

Cooking Procedures :

    Heat oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté onion and garlic until onion is translucent. Set aside.
    Pour water to a stockpot and bring to a boil. Add chicken; season with salt and pepper. Cover; simmer for 20 minutes, or until chicken is tender. Take out the chicken and let it cool. By using your hands (or two forks – one to tear the chicken meat and one to hold the bone) shred the meat of the cook chicken; discard the bones. Put shredded chicken back to the pot.
    Add sautéed onion and garlic, carrot, macaroni and sausages. Simmer over medium-low heat for 15 minutes, or until macaroni is tender. Add cabbage and milk; simmer for another 5 more minutes. Serve into individual bowls and garnish with green onions.
    Serves 4 to 6.
