How bad can go escaping from the police? To the extreme.
An aggressive response, including the use of force. And often victims.
I do not want to justify or blame anything, but that's how it goes. Often a  tragedy. Nobody should die, life is precious. A heartbeat at the end of tune is for victims.

It's been over a year since S2D01 and Stephen Head made "From Space We Gaze". Now we've done this.  I see you there.

I’ve met a great artist: Kaori Takeda, more than 10 years ago; a dear friend introduced her to me and my family.  I lately proposed to Kaori to collaborate; but life is strange. It took me over 10 years for various reasons. Now, we have finally collaborate on this song with her vocals, melody and lyrics; I've only sent her my music base and Kaori has put her great effort into it, and I am honored and happy.

I composed this tune 2 decades ago. I was deeply involved with Kinesiogy, Phisiology and all that jazz. All I had was a Roland piano. It would sound much better now, But the emotions I've tried to put in it are still good for my spirit.

S2D01 is the inner space translated into sound. Born in Florence, the music project of Simone Cappelli blends ambient, downtempo, and experimental electronic into emotionally rich soundscapes.

S2D01 stands for "Studio One", and want to be a tribute to Clement "Coxsone" Dodd, founder of "Studio One", one of Jamaica's most renowned record labels and recording studios.

BIO

Natural Born Singer in 1960, his first ever pronounced words are the words of a song.

Already a brilliant guitarist (by ear) at the age of 6 he is constantly in the quest for the best sound, dismantling any kind of appliances with an enclosed loudspeaker to connect to his toy guitar’s amplifier.

1971 - start taking classic guitar courses

1977 enter the world of HI-FI and experiment with tape recorders. That give him the chance to release the first mashups (once called "Hollywoods" in NYC) .
Playing mostly Soul, Funk and "Motown" as a DJ on local TV, radios and disco as resident DJ.
Record’s distributor for several majors labels.

1982 - start several side projects with local musicians as guitar player.

1985 - after the "Paris (France) Experience" (where he spent one year), start collaborating with several local international visual artists.

1986 - after mastering a course for theater sound engineer, he start touring the world with several theater companies taking care of sound and light design of the shows.
Start recording soundtracks and other studio recordings for various local artists in recording studios and attend to several music festival as local sound engineer.

1987 - solo travel to Jamaica where he spent 2 months almost exclusively playing very old 45s on the sound system (and eventually hacking it to make it more powerful) of a bar on a beach in Westmoreland. Definitely marking forever his musical tastes for Black music and musicians. 

1989 - Bought his 1st sequencer (Roland MC500MKII) Keyboard and Sampler and the year after finally got his 1st Atari and Cubase.
Start his own music production for theatrical shows and several visual events.

2002 - solo travels for his 1st time in the Philippines archipelago where, among other things, he rediscover very old melodic hits of the 60/70's that will increase and expand the love for melodic music.

Continuing producing and mixing for Live acts until his 40s, he will will undergo on a bit of a rollercoaster due to family problems from 2002 till 2007. 
During those 5 worse years of his life, he will occasionally compose and collaborate with several artists.

2008 - move back to the Philippines and fully reestablish the contact with nature and his creativity.
The following 7 year will see him living in a perpetual "state of grace" mostly dedicating his time to his new family there and occasionally writing some yet unreleased musical ideas on his DAW.

2015 - move back to Italy where he start S2D01 project, at first as an experimental online digital radio, broadcasting live random reggae music selections.

2017 - S2D01 become a stable music project including remixes, electronic music, EDM and Cinematic compositions.
