After having a nightmare
Upon having a nightmare, recite:
أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ غَضَبِهِ وَعِقَابِهِ وَشَرِّ عِبَادِهِ وَمِنْ هَمَزَاتِ الشَّيَاطِينِ وَأَنْ يَحْضُرُونَ
With the total words of Allah, I seek protection from His wrath, from His punishment and from the servants evil and from the whispers of Satan and I seek protection from (these) coming to me.

(Hisnul Hasin)
On having a good dream, recite:
"Alhamdulillah" and relate it to an intimate companion of understanding (So that the companion does not interpret the dream badly). If a person has a bad dream, then spit three times over the left shoulder and turn to the other side or stand up to perform Salaat reciting the following dua three times:
أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ وَمِنْ شَرِّ هَذِهِ الرُّؤْيَا
"I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Satan and from the evil of this dream. "The dream will not cause any harm. (Misjkat, Hisnul Hasin)
It is a great sin to conjure a false dream and narrate it.

I seek forgiveness with Allah, The Lord of all creatures.
استغفر الله رب البرايا
I seek forgiveness with Allah, of all the sins that I've made.
استغفر الله من الخطایا

Istighfar (Astaghfirullah) is the gateway of relief and happiness. Whenever you are in distress start reciting it and Insha Allah it will take you out of your anxiety and will put you in a peaceful situation and will give you happiness.
Istighfar removes anxiety and duas are answered.
Istighfar opens the door of sustenance.
Istighfar opens the door of mercy.
Istighfar opens the door of knowledge.
Istighfar is also gateway of productivity.

The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said,
“If anyone constantly seeks pardon (from Allah), Allah will appoint for him a way out of every distress and a relief from every anxiety, and will provide sustenance for him from where he expects not.” [Abu Dawud].
Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said:
“The one who (regularly) says Istighfaar, that is, frequently repent to Allah Ta’aala for sins committed, Allah Azza Wa-Jal will open a path from poverty and difficulties. All sorrow and hardship will be removed, and in its place prosperity and contentment granted. One will receive sustenance from unimagined and unexpected sources.”

Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) has said in another Hadith:
“The one who seeks forgiveness for Muslim males and females from Allah Ta’aala twenty six or twenty five times every day, Allah Ta’ala will count that person among those whose Du’a is accepted, and through the barakah of whom those on earth gain Rizq (sustenance).”

Do Tasbih of Astaghfaar at least 100 times daily as it is the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
In one minute, you can say “Astaghfiru Allaah” more than 100 times! The virtue of seeking forgiveness is well-known, it is a reason of obtaining forgiveness, entering Paradise, having good provisions, increasing one’s strength, repelling harm, having affairs facilitated, the descent of rain, and increasing in wealth and children.
The doors of repentance are always open therefore don’t delay your repentance in a hope of tomorrow, as tomorrow is uncertain , Repent now and make it a habit to ask Allah’s forgiveness by reciting “Astaghfirullah”.
Say I believe in Allah’s mercy, I have sinned, I have gone astray, I have been negligent, but still I believe in Allah’s soothing mercy and forgiveness, I’ll not despair! So did you say “Astagfirullah” (I seek forgiveness of Allah) 100 times today?

This Dua / Supplication is to be read for protection to strengthen our bodies. Eyesight and ears.

A Sahabi (RA) said that he told his father: O my father! I hear you supplicating every morning: "O Allah! Grant me health in my body. O Allah! Grant me good hearing. O Allah! Grant me good eyesight. There is no god but Thou." You repeat them three times in the morning and three times in the evening.

He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) using these words as a supplication and I like to follow his practice.

Dua/ Supplication for protection of the body, eyesight and ears - Allahumma Afini Fi Badan By Saad Al Qureshi

اللّٰهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِي بَدَنِي
O Allah! Grant me health in my body.
اللّٰهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِي سَمْعِي
O Allah! Grant me good hearing.
اللّٰهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِي بَصَرِي
O Allah! Grant me good eyesight.
لَاإِلَهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ
There is no god worthy of being worshipped except You.’
(three times)

The virtues of reciting La ilaha illallah

There are numerous virtues of reciting La ilaha illallah. Among them are the following:

1) Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (radiyallahu ‘anhu) once asked Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), “Who will be the fortunate person to gain your intercession on the day of Qiyamah?”

Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:

“O Abu Hurayrah, I knew you would be the first to ask me about this due to your eagerness for Hadith. The fortunate person who will gain my intercession will be that person who says ‘La ilaha illallah’ sincerely from his heart.”

(Sahih Bukhari, Hadith: 99)

 

2) Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (radiyallahu ‘anhu) reports that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:

“When a person sincerely says ‘La ilaha illallah’, the doors of the sky are opened for it until it reaches the Throne so long as he avoids major sins”

(Sunan Tirmidhi, Hadith: 3590. Graded sound -hasan- by Imam Tirmidhi)

 

3) Sayyiduna Jabir (radiyallahu ‘anhu) reports that Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:

“The best dhikr is ‘La ilaha illallah, and the best du’a is ‘Alhamdulillah” 

(Sunan Tirmidhi, Hadith: 3383, Sunan Ibn Majah, Hadith: 3800, Sahih Ibn Hibban; Al Ihsan, Hadith: 843 and Mustadrak Hakim, vol. 1 pg. 498)

Imam Tirmidhi (rahimahullah)  has classified the above Hadith as sound (hasan). Imam Hakim (rahimahullah) has declared the Hadith authentic (sahih) and Hafiz Dhahabi (rahimahullah) concurs with him.

 

4) Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (radiyallahu ‘anhu) reports that Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:

“Recite ‘La ilaha illallah’ abundantly before you are unable to recite it” (ie. before you become ill/pass away)

(Musnad Abu Ya’la, -Hadith: 6147- with a sound chain. See Targhib, vol. 2 pg. 416 and Majma’uz Zawaid, vol. 10 pg. 82)

Jannah [Paradise] & Jahannam [Hellfire] Make Dua For You ᴴᴰ | Beautiful Dua ᴴᴰ | Must Listen Daily By Saad Al Qureshi

Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated the Messenger of Allah said: “ Whoever asks Allah for Jannah three times, Paradise says, “ Oh Allah enter him into Jannah. Whoever seeks protection with Allah from Hell three times, Jahanim says, “ Oh Allah protect him from the Fire.”

Collected by At-Tirmithi (2572) and others. Shaykh Al-Albani (May Allah have mercy on him) graded this hadeeth as being Saheeh in Saheeh At-Tirmithi.

Shaykh Al-Hafith Al-Mubarkfuri ( [1353 H] may Allah have mercy on him) mentioned some valuable information about this hadeeth. He wrote:

“Whoever asks Allah for Jannah…” This can be said with the following words “ Oh Allah, I ask you for Jannah” or “Oh Allah, let me enter Jannah”
“ three times…” This means he repeats that request at one time. Saying it three times is an earnest request. This etiquette of supplication is authentically reported in the Sunnah.
“Paradise says, “This is a petition or with it’s tongue. Allah has the ability to make things that don’t normally speak or are non-living talk.
“Oh Allah enter him into Jannah…”Allow him to enter with those in the beginning or with those later.
“Whoever seeks protection…”This refers to the person who seeks guard or protection from the Fire.
“ from Hell…”This can be said with the following words, “Oh Allah, protect me from Hell.
“Jahanim says,.. “ This means that Hell says,” Save him and rescue him.”
“ from the Fire…”These words refer to Hell asking Allah to allow the slave to be saved from entering the Fire or residing inside it forever.
