Tokyo-based techno DJ and producer Nobuharu Morimoto makes his debut on Unrilis with a hypnotic EP defined by flowing rhythms and immersive soundscapes. A fixture of the city’s underground scene, he holds residencies at two of Tokyo’s premier techno events, plug and OUTSIDER, delivering sets that span Detroit-inspired deep techno to high-energy, driving tracks.

Following releases on respected labels, Morimoto now joins Unrilis with a refined and emotionally charged sonic approach. The EP opens with “Soramakase,” built around a rolling groove, pulsating bass, and muffled vocals, layered with dystopian pads that heighten tension, while the breakdown introduces rising jazzy chords.

It’s safe to say it’s been too long since we last saw label bosses and heavy hitters Pan-Pot grace Second State with their ‘Solace’ EP back in November of 2016. So to have them back with two big bombs and a remix from the one and only Petter B on their ‘Funke’ EP curbs all anticipation from all of us who have been dying for new material.
Kicking things off is ‘Spitzer’ with hi-octane percussion and reverb heavy acoustics spanned out over ten minutes where simplicity rules and the age old saying that “less is more” has never been more accurate. Flipping sides we see the duo take a similar approach on “Funke” but deliver a rugged and brutally mesmerizing lead that coaxes the inner devil inside all of us. Rounding out the EP is a carefully curated remix from Gothenburg’s own and former Hertz collaborator Petter B who hands over a beautiful rendition of ‘Spitzer’ where dense, lavish atmospherics carry a heavy looping groove to a gorgeous climax. It’s good to have the boys back and we think you will agree when you hear their stunning new ‘Funke’ EP.

After repeated chart topping efforts on Kraftek, UK duo Spektre return with the darkly seductive vocals of Berliner Juliet Fox. The rhythmic undulations of the groove create the perfect platform upon which Fox's vocals crawl on hands and knees, beckoning the listener deeper into the sonic landscape like some siren of techno mythology, but it's once the listener is fully entranced by her mantric incantation, "I'm Thinking About You....and the things you do to me...." that the Spektre boys unveil the final piece of this modern masterpiece: the hook.  Unabashedly trance inspired without any of the corresponding uplifting overtones, no this isn't your old trance record with new makeup on - this is it's own animal and one fully aware of it's power. Saad Ayub is a Canadian - Bangladeshi DJ and producer. Starting his musical career at the age of 18, Saad was an influencer in the dance music scene in his birth country of Bangladesh, landing him gigs there with the Ministry of Sound World Tours. He has firmly established himself as one of Canada’s top touring producers through original releases and remixes.

Saad’s style has evolved to incorporate a wide range of musical influences, particularly from the ever-evolving world of techno and its many forms. Founding VRTN Records in late 2019, Saad is cultivating a platform for like-minded artists to release music that pushes the conventions of musical genres and develops the sonic landscape of the future. 

In the past, Saad has gained industry recognition for his collaborations with dance music legends such as Paul van Dyk, Ferry Corsten, Armin Van Buuren and Markus Schulz. He was also crowned as the breakthrough artist of the year by Paul Van Dyk in 2019 on DJ Mag and his track “Remember” was crowned tune of the year by Ferry Corsten in 2018 on DJ Mag.
