Welcome to this meditation on ‘Shanti Mantra’. 
Please read this before you start meditation.
Chanting this Shanti mantra and even listening and meditating on this spreads deeper vibrations of peace all around. 
This meditation has 2 phases-
In the 1st phase, we will hear this chant for about 10 minutes, you are advised to sit silently, keep your spine straight, close your eyes and while listening to the shanti mantra, pour all your attention into praying for peace to all the 3 layers we talked about. 
In the  2nd phase which is 10 minutes, once the chant is over, please continue to sit in silence with eyes closed and focus your awareness on your breathing. The mind has the tendency to not sit still and move around, so to bring your awareness back to your breathing, you will hear frequent sound of bells in between this silence phase, these bells are reminder to bring your attention back to breathing. 
And in the end you will hear the chant of OM, shanti shanti shanti, that will be the end of this meditation session, at this moment you may slowly open your eyes with a peaceful smile on your face. 
So, please sit in comfortable position and Let’s begin…

Shanti Mantra Meditation

Indian ancient Rishis and sages realized that we humans are part of this great flow of ONE, CONNECTED LIFE. 
Everything is connected here from the micro to the macrocosm. 
Sages realized that in order to lead a peaceful life, we cannot just ask or work towards our own individual peace or well-being. We need to make sure that the whole cosmic system is dwelling in peace. 
Lets understand it this way, If you (as an individual self) have to experience peace and happiness, your whole body/mind must be in peace, you cannot experience peace if lets say one of your arm is in pain or suffering. 
So peace can be experienced if everything within you, your body mind, and everything outside of you – your family, neighbours, city, your nation, entire earth and this whole cosmic system is dwelling in peace. 
And there are 3 layers from where a human being experiences suffering…
1. Adhyatmik  - the suffering that one experiences from within oneself, from one’s own body, thoughts & emotions etc.
2. Adi – bhautik – the suffering that one experiences from everything that is outside – other people, animals, insects, plant life etc.
3. Adi – Davik – the suffering which one experiences from natural elements or cosmic forces, like earthquakes, sunami, hurricanes, solar storms or effects from other planetary forces.
So, we chant Shanti or peace mantra to bring peace to each of these 3 layers of adhyatmik, adi-bhautik and adi-davik forces. As we realized, that for us to be in peace, the entire cosmos and all its elements needs to be in peace. We pray for peace within our body/mind and also to all beings and energies all around us.

Welcome friends to this ‘Collective Meditation Session’ on DEVI – The Mother of Universe.
In this world of FORM, everything is a manifestation of DEVI energy, including us - humans. She is the mother of universe - the womb of entire creation. She is called mother because every FORM is born from her energy. She is the feminine, creative life force which propels all the movements – the entire dance of existence. 
In her, exists, all the 3 forces of creation, sustenance & destruction…
and the 3 divisions of time - past, present and future - are also her creation 

This divine life force in most humans is working at its minimum level – as our bodily functions and mind movements. Her full potential is not awakened. The whole purpose of human life is to awaken this life force – this energy to its fullest potential, where the shakti meets shiva, where prakriti meet purusha, where yin and yang merges into eternal oneness. This oneness is the source of everlasting joy and bliss. 
In this meditation, we are going to INVOKE this divine shakti within us, - to become aware of her potential, to receive her grace and to move into a state of peace and bliss.  
This meditation session has 3 parts with total duration of about 21 minutes.
In first part – we will hear the chant of DEVI – the bhav of this chant – the musical notes/the ragas are of invocation. So, in the 1st part, we invoke the Mother.
In the 2nd part – the chant will stop, we will sit in silence and continue to receive her grace – we pour all our attention on our breathing and feel her healing and protective field around us. 
Our mind has the tendency to waiver, especially during meditation, so in this silent phase, you will hear frequent sound of bells, these bells are a reminder to bring back your mind to your breath and experience the silence totally.  
In the 3rd part – we will hear the chant of DEVI again – but this time, the musical notes/the ragas are of GRATITUDE. So, we feel deep gratitude for the MOTHER of universe, for her love, her blessings, her protection, her nurturing and her support - all through our life’s journey. 
And when the chant ends – we will be in silence for a minute and then will slowly open our eyes with a smile on our face.

Namaste friends and welcome to this Conscious Humming Meditation.
It is said that, In the beginning there was sound and from sound entire cosmos is created
This sound is gifted to every life form, This sound is energy, it is vibration… 
This sound existed in human beings much before any language was created and it existed as ‘Humming’
If you notice, Humming is also the essence of the primodial sound of Om
Humming, is our natural sound, it is actually our original voice
Humming is also an essential part in Yoga - as Pranayama
Humming is a powerful resonance, it is a profound vibration
It affects each part of our life process, from breathing, blood circulation, digestion, all the glands, hormone secretion, all internal organs, and also mental well being; every cell of our body dances with joy, vibrates and gets energiezed with humming
A lot of research has already been done on the effects of humming and is still continuing… 
Humming is a great gift, it is a powerful process because - we can heal ourselves with our own voice with Humming. No wonder our ancient RIshi’s build Humming as part of Yogic breathing called brahmari pranayama.

Whenever we do something consciously, it starts to work for us in unimaginable ways…So, now is the time to dive deeper into ‘conscious humming’. 
In the eastern tradition, we used conscious humming not just to heal our body mind but also to experience a state of heightened awareness.
Now let’s prepare ourselves for this ‘conscious humming’ practice. it is advisable to do this meditation on light stomach. 
Humming is a long exhalation through nose, while we keep our mouth closed softly, jaws relaxed, inhalation will happen on its own through nose
 We will do this practice for 10 mins.  
To support our humming and make it into a continuous rhythm, we will hum on a sound track.
After 10 mins of humming, we will sit in silence for another 10 mins. In this silence sitting, you might notice some vibration in certain parts of your body or head. Do not interfere with this, simply sit in silence and observe these sensations, if any. 
Our mind has the tendency to wander during silent sitting, so you will hear frequent sound of bells, these bells are a reminder to bring back your wandering mind to the present moment. It will help if you keep your attention on your breathing during this phase. 
After 10 mins of silence, you will hear the sound of OM and with that please slowly open your eyes.
So, Lets begin, Please close your eyes and sit comfortably with your spine straight.
