‘Senza volto’ is inspired by the music genre ‘Giallo’. Which emerged in the 60’ and 70’s in Italy. The name of the genre comes from the popular style of artistic films that it lend itself to.These films were heavily based on pulp detective and horror-storries from the 30’s up until the 80’s.This musical genre is defined by it’s eclectic nature. In a sense that it switches between certain tropes from other genres constantly and rapidly (for example psychedelic rock, funk, 
contemporary music and lyrical film music).

‘Senza volto’ is my own take on the genre. The eclectisism of tropes is utilized in an indirect wayso no clear genre is recognizable, and all the tropes are interpreted in my own way. Besides that, taking it out of the context of a film and bringing it to a contemporary stage makes for a very different end result per definition.
