‘Sabar’ is a West African (Wolof) word meaning ‘Drum’. Sabar Soundsystem is literally a soundsystem made of drums. Big drums playing World-flavoured dance beats influenced by music from Africa, Brazil, Cuba, Indonesia and India where the players have trained and mixed with contemporary Western tunes. Sabar Soundsystem are a fifteen-piece percussion band delivering a high energy performance perfectly suited to a club or festival audience that loves to dance.
