This tune was inspired by a song that resurfaced from a backup CD from the year 1999 that I found back amongst my closed full of shit. The original song was called “Blood War” by Jess D Skov-Nielsen from Denmark (also known as Ramzo). He composed the song to enter the Creative (Labs) Open MIDI Contest which he won with this track. I found out on archive.org that he entered the track into the completion with as comment: ”This tune is inspired from the AD&D world ‘Planescape’ where there is an eternal battle between hundreds of demons and devils of hell called ‘The Bloodwar’.” The music competition was organized by Creative Labs to promote their ‘Sound Blaster AWE64 Gold card’ audio card. Back in the previous century, this was an amazing piece of hardware for anyone wanting to get into electronic composition of music. When I got my hands on my own ‘Sound Blaster AWE64’ back in 1999, it really kicked my music into gear. With the soundcard came a CDROM with drivers and also some demonstration MIDI files. One of these tracks was “Blood War”.

This piece was written as an assignment for my MIDI II class in UCLA's Film Scoring program. The scene was taken from a movie called "Hero Wanted" (Copyright Nu Image / Millennium Films, 2008), directed by Brian Smrz with original music by Kenneth Burgomaster.

A man with a troubled past (Liam) and his friend (Swain) witness a horrific car crash occur right in front of them as they are sitting outside of a coffee shop. A woman barges out of another nearby shop, screaming hysterically at the grisly scene of twisted metal and broken glass and begins begging for someone to help. We quickly come to find that her young daughter (still conscious and frightened) is trapped inside the overturned car, which is already almost completely engulfed in flames by this point. As a growing crowd of people look on in shock and disbelief, Liam springs into action. He immediately rips the coat off of a man nearby and carefully crawls into the vehicle through one of the shattered windows. His friend, Swain, stands by, commanding a nearby waitress to call 911. Liam eventually reaches the girl and begins to comfort her. With the flames intensifying and time running out, he wraps the coat around her. He then musters his strength and courage, kicking open the passenger side door and diving through with the girl in his arms. The mother runs and scoops up her daughter (who is clearly shaken up but unscathed), quickly carrying her away from the flames. Swain runs in and bats the flames that have engulfed Liam's back, struggling to comprehend the heroic act that he had just witnessed his friend perform. Lying face down on the pavement in pain, Liam watches in satisfaction as the girl and her mother embrace each other away from the wreckage. The scene then cuts to a point in the near future where, in his bedroom, he reflects on his actions from that fateful day.

i'm a doctor from saudi arabia, i have a real passion to both photography and music.

most my music are done in magix music maker and i use a lot of sound pools.

i'm planning to learn how to make my own material but unfortunately because i'm a doctor i hardly have the time for that

Bio:
Born in 1977, I grew up with the inspiring music of the 80s and 90s. Which I think produced some of the best music ever. From about the age of 13 I’ve been composing and (re)mixing all kinds of music, ranging from classic orchestral to hip hop to hard style.

My music:
For me, music is all about emotion. The music I prefer often communicates a sense of urgency, vulnerability, sadness, longing, melancholy and sometimes anger. I’m not a big fan of music that can be described as either happy, hopeful, or ‘middle of the road’. I like my listeners to hear that ‘I mean it…’ and ‘this guy does not f… around’.
When working on a song, the melody of a song is critical. It should at least be ´catchy´ enough to be recognized when someone whistles it down the street. Another thing that I focus on is variety and buildup of the song. When somebody reviews on of my tracks, at no point should I have to apologize for any part of the song getting too repetitive.

For the past 6 years I've also taken an interest in video editing and 3D graphics. So if you need a fancy, epic, slick intro, trailer, announcement or music video just let me know
