Nobody Knows Me Like You

I have a question, do you?
Nobody knows me like you
A simple answer just won't do
Nobody knows me like you

I'm lost in a thousand burning words of trust
And nothing stays the same for us. For us

I have a question, do you?
Nobody knows me like you
A simple answer just won't do
Cos nobody knows me like you
I need some help to hurt myself
Nobody knows me like you

I'm lost in a thousand burning words of trust
And nothing stays the same for us
Nothing stays the same
Nothing will stay the same
So let go

I have a question...
Why don't I know you like you know me?
You know me

Nobody Knows Me Like You

Band favourite from our new EP, Coraline is a Rising, thought provoking and personal song with heartfelt melodies, drums and guitars. What ever genre this song is, it's the song for us....

Coraline

Gaze at the light line
She captures silver moonbeams in her hair
I'll be there Coraline
Days are a lifeline
She sleeps beneath the ground while we are there
I'll be there Coraline
Down by the water
She's feeling something new; I feel it too
I'll be there Coraline
Dance with the hunter
She's feeling something frozen up inside
I'll be there Coraline
And I'm waiting
And everything I knew just cut me down
I'll be there Coraline

Coraline

When you miss those things that you did in your youth that made you feel a bit special or individual.

Captain

You know I am the captain

It's my mistake, yes I know
Replay the steps or let them go
My path is far from pivotal
Many tread the unoriginal
It's my mistake, yes I know
If you want to counsel me
If you want to, well get in line

And I guess you know my name
I'm the reason you'll do it all again

It makes me laugh when I'm down
All of my fears are lost in sound
It brought me back from miserable
Certified an individual
All of my fears are lost in sound
If you want to counsel me
If you want to, well get in line

My own worst enemy
You make do, now let me

You know I am the captain

Dance With The Hunted audio teaser/trailer

Marooned:

We are the light of the sun in starlight
Never the greed be undone in our lifetime
Vain 'til the end of the world - possessing
everything we have defiled - the nothingness
Blazing scarlet, burning darkness
Broken red skies are endless
We are the light of the world in our eyes
The gods we created in gold won't save us now
Blazing scarlet, burning darkness
Broken red skies are endless
Broken red skies are endless
The reason I guess why you left me here
They look like the old wounds you can't suture
They are the scars of time
Blazing scarlet, burning darkness
Broken red skies are endless
All hail the human race!

Marooned

bitter sweet tale of self doubt and anxiety surrounded by delicate, swirly guitars that blast into grungy fuzz and pounding drums in big anthemic chorus sections

I Think My Face Hates Me:

I'm lonely smoking Lamberts in the park
Thinking of a future I can't start
I'm going home
or I'm going down
I've been lying on the floor just eating time
Pretending there's no light behind my eyes
I'm going home
or I'm going down
Every day I am reborn
In the skin I've had before
Every night I am the light
Before the dawn
I may just find a way to walk the line
But my knees are cracked from begging all the time
I'm going home
or I'm going down
You told me I don't have this crucifix to bear
And if I look ahead I'll see that it's not there
I'm going home
or I'm going down
Every day I am reborn
In the skin I've had before
Every night I am the light
Before the dawn

I Think My Face Hates Me

old school fuzzy sabbath style riff with melodic vocals and an uplifting alt rock chorus

Believe Nothing Hurts:

Your lies
As they come in
The lights will shine onto you
Listen to their lives
And as they come in
The lights will shine onto you
Listen to their lives
This time, believe nothing hurts
Your lies
There's a thousand drowned
And the lights will shine onto you
Listen to their lives
This time, believe nothing hurts
Oh, your lies
As they come in
They're drowning now
In your own sweet precious melody of lies
As they come in
We're drowning now
In your own sweet precious melody of lies

Believe Nothing Hurts

Doubt is the beginning not the end.....

Over and Doubt:

The tarot card flipped over in her hand
Turning around
She said, 'Look at what you have become, my friend'
Leaves on the ground
'Doubt is the beginning not the end,
stop cursing the darkness'
'Look at what you can become, my friend'
But he had already gone
These days have gone
Over and over again
These days will come
Over and over again
Please stay with me
Over and over again
Give to me some time and let me breathe
Lost in the sound
I'm finding something new in my relief
These days all behind us
Look at what we have become, my friend
This suffering will bind us to the end
These days have gone
Over and over again
These days will come
Over and over again
Please stay with me
Over and over again

Over And Doubt

Over and Doubt

Splintered

Lights - these spinning lights are blinding
Erase - not ever wanting to forget
The shame will never end But I'm coping on my own The ones I left behind They just fade out
Stains - these bloodied veils fall down The pain - I dedicate our loss to you
The shame will never end But I'm coping on my own
The ones I left behind They just fade out
Come here And take my hand Oh just come here And take this cursed band of gold
The shame will never end But I'm coping on my own The ones I left behind They just fade out
If I fall down, I won't stay down If you fall down, you will stay down You will stay down

Splintered

BREAK DOWN
They had me right where they wanted me then
There when they needed me but never when I needed them
Now they'll find the table's turned
Now I am my own best friend
And every time when I cried I grew colder
Like a lake of tears which has frozen over
Now they'll find the table's turned
Now I am my own best friend
But I'd break down the walls
Break down those walls
If you only wanted me to
I'd get them right where I wanted them now
If only it wasn't that I'd feel bad somehow
Now they'll find the table's turned
Now I am my own best friend
But I'd break down the walls
Break down those walls
If you only wanted me to

Break Down

Behind the noise is more noise

Can you hear this?
Do you want to
Crave or fear this?
It means the world to me, it means the...
There are traces of the old times
Like battle scars in my mind
Only the world to me

Turn the lights out - leave this home
Wherever the white lines take us

Behind the noise is more noise

I remember chilling numbness
But still wanting...
It means the world to me, it means the...
There are traces of the old times
Like battle scars in my mind
Only the world to me

Turn the lights out - leave this home
Wherever the white lines take us

It means the world to me
The world

Turn the lights out - leave this home
Wherever the white lines take us

Released December 4th 2020

Arguably their heaviest track to date, Saboteurs' new single observes the inherently strained libertarian response to Covid-19. With influences as diverse as New Model Army, Biffy Clyro and Thrice, 'Shame' is due for release on 4 December 2020.

Familiarly dark and brooding with a hypnotic groove, 'Shame' follows the band's 2018 debut EP and acclaimed 2019 LP, 'Dance with the Hunted'.

Lyrically, the track comments on the struggle within liberal democracies to reconcile the tension between civil liberties and the protection of society and asks whether in fact, we are facing a Malthusian catastrophe as nature fights back against human population growth.

Shame

Struggling with the mundanities of life in an East Midlands market town. Bottling it all up and ready to explode. The quiet ones are the worst they say but there's nothing quiet about Saboteurs' outpouring of pent-up emotions.

The band's 2018 debut EP attracted a growing fan-base and recognition by BBC Introducing, Richer Sound's Artist of the Week and as finalists in Radio Wigwam's Rock Act of the Year. From the gothic post-punk splendour and dark, foreboding rock of 'Nobody Knows Me Like You' , to the haunting slow-burn of 'Coraline' , Saboteurs manage somehow to transcend genres. The juxtaposition stems from the contrasting styles of songwriters Ben Ellis (vocals/guitars) and Rick Whitehead (guitars/vocals). 'We just can’t do trends. We end up chucking in elements from all manner of genres and smashing them together'.

With influences as diverse as New Model Army, Biffy Clyro, Neil Young and Thrice, Saboteurs' debut album, 'Dance With The Hunted', is due for release on 4 May 2019.

And with a new rhythm section in place - Pete Botterill (drums) and Geoff Standeven (bass) - and Kirsty Marlog on backing vocals, the band will be hitting the road again with live dates across the UK.
