A love letter to 90s Rave music, The Prodigy, Underworld, The abrasive sounds of The Chemical Brothers, but also was written with The Ketchup Song and The Fast Food song by Fast Foods Rockers in mind, as a playfully mutant twist on the catchiness of a novelty song. 

CCTV was inspired by an art & UK social commentary piece called Evidence Locker by Jill Madge, it is commentary on the rampant usage of CCTV and surveillance within Cardiff through the mind of a young person. The song was created in an attempt to create something nobody has talked about in a dance song.

May Swoon is the experimental pop project of Neo Ukandu.
Neo Ukandu is a bisexual non binary, autistic, welsh artist, and multifaceted creator and performer. I have recently graduated with a Masters in music production and songwriting at USW. At 25 I was diagnosed with dyslexia and at 26 autism, both of which have influenced my love and connection to music and creating music.
I have struggled to find and keep employment due to my disabilities. Through May Swoon I am able to find solace in creating for a purpose, and gaining a career that will never leave me (or ask me to do an interview!)

In my masters achieved a 2:1, and I’ve been blessed to perform so early in my music journey all over the UK, notably London, North & Mid Wales, Bristol, and of course Cardiff. While being featured in Buzz Magazine, I-D Magazine, BBC Introducing and Radio Cardiff.

This Time For Real

The 60th anniversary of the flooding of Capel Celyn is 2025 and i've been playing this edit out for a few years now, it felt fitting to release it in October this year due to it being the anniversary month of the flooding.

The flooding of Capel Celyn still haunts the history of Wales and only in 2005 did Liverpool apologise to the people of Wales for flooding a village to make way for their water supply. 

This track goes off in the clubs when i've played it and its good to finally release it.
