Sachin Khetani had started learning Tabla at the age of 4 from Pandit Sharda Sahai and Dr Frances Shepherd at Pandit Ram Sahai Sangeet Vidyalaya (PRSSV). He had started to perform from the age of 6 as an ensemble with PRSSV and was part of many projects that have now revolutionised Tabla playing. In 2007 Sachin was part of a specially commissioned project for London Mela called Tabla Blah Blah. Tabla Blah Blah had been the first project that now influences many Tabla Players around the world. It was a performance composed by Pandit Sharda Sahai and DJ Bobby Friction alongside visuals which had both drawings from the traditional Tabla repertoire and the urban music scene.

Thereafter Sachin has been crafting in Tabla performance and teaching and now teaches for PRSSV and has been working with the top producers and performers from around the world. One of the biggest projects Sachin has been working on is with producer Martin “Youth” Glover as part of The Puretone Orchestra. In 2016 Sachin joined The Puretone Orchestra to perform at Electric Brixton.

Sachin has also worked on a duet performance with DJ Doni Brasco. Doni Brasco is an eclectic DJ who creates mixes that Sachin would play classical Tabla on top of. This has now become a trend in the Tabla world.

Sachin is currently working on creating a set to take on tour in 2017 and will be recording and releasing content on YouTube.
