Juan (AR) is a born and raised Argentinian DJ and producer from the underground
scene of Buenos Aires. With a strong run of releases on labels such as Lost, Be
One, Under No Illusion, DPE, Lapsus, Clarisse, and 303 Lovers, he continues to win
support from industry peers like Marco Carola, Stefano Noferini, Neverdogs, or
Nicole Moudaber, to name a few...

From groovy Minimal / Deep Tech to thumping Tech House, his sonic DNA features
powerful basslines and crispy percussions. For this EP on Sacré Coeur Records, we
have been particularly sensible to Juan (AR)'s production approach, where true
markers of raw minimal genre are enlightened by his sharp drums and infectious
subs. Label boss Ohmme were therefore very inspired to remix 'Don't Make Me
Stop', bringing you his own rhythmical funkiness and a fat FM bass groove on a
silver platter.

Illustrious Greek mainstay Mihalis Safras returns to Moon Harbour with a potent new cut featuring Caie. The fantastic 'Sweating' is indeed the sort of punchy and driving cut that will get floors moving and grooving. It has raw percussion cutting up the beats like hot knives as the drilling bass adds extra weight. Caie's detached, aloof vocal brings a curious and trippy quality that finishes the track with a strange sense of soul.

Welcome back, Mr. David Aurel! Fresh for 2k18 the young and talented Swiss producer makes a return to the Hive Audio stable with his second full on release on the label, providing two excellent new original tracks alongside remixes crafted by Shawnecy and Leon.

With the title track „Like This“ David Aurel redefines the definition of 'pumping' for this season and brings on a stripped down, yet highly functional take on House music which is surely living up to the expectation bar raised by its massively rolling bassline and carefully placed, well seductive vocal samples.

On a remix tip for „Like This“ is Shawnecy who's surely staying close to the tunes original vibe but explores way deeper, livelier and all embracing sub spheres, adds subtle sweeps and a new, fascinating layer of percussive synth tones and stabs which are building up to a truly mesmerizing, still stripped down climax in House.

The second original tune on here is David Aurel's „No Way Out“, another masterly crafted example of his thrilling signature sound. Once again stripping things down to the very core this is another, slightly more percussive and tribal'esque, House banger mainly relying on nothing but a deep ass rolling bass, funky drums, microcut vocal bits and short, but ecstatic breakdown sequences which all add up to provide timeless qualities for recent and future dancefloors.

With Leon on remix duties „No Way Out“ takes a new route, fusing classic House and TechHouse elements with a bubbly mid-range bassline and beautifully floating strings, endless drum rolls and fascinating main motif sending our braincells into an accelerating upward spiral of pure joy and everlasting happiness.

‘Any Which Way’ sees the Detroit legend take a trip into the deep, creating a sleek cosmic slice of techno that evokes an unmistakable sense of the Motor City. The track has been a key feature of his sets in recent months, with its deep, searing melody line and atmosphere-laden grooves working perfectly whenever he’s had the opportunity to take dancefloors on extended journeys. 
The package includes Pullen’s ‘Dirty Mug’ and ‘Dub Mug’ mixes, with the twisted synth lines that teeter on the brink between acid and psychedelia providing a souped-up contrast to the original. 
On the remix tip, Desolat’s Martin Buttrich has been drafted in to superb effect. The ‘Red Mix’ sees the German utilise the main synth line from Pullen’s original to create a melody-flushed re-rub, while the ‘Green Mix’ re-routes it towards moodier deep house territory, with its delicate brew of drums, low slung bass and swirling synth layers.
For Pullen, ‘Any Which Way’ marks the follow up release to last year’s ‘Circus Act’ on Blackflag that was supported by Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1 and a host of DJs across the techno and house scenes, while also featuring strongly on Beatport’s Tech House chart. 
It also continues a busy 2013 to date, with the re-release of his 1998 classic ‘Sweat’ under the Black Odyssey moniker (originally Blackflag 001) and a Beatport sponsored competition to remix the track.
 “With ‘Any Which Way’ I wanted to get back to moody but groovy techno, something that hits your emotions, but still packs a punch. There’s so much music out at the moment, I really wanted to create something with a fresh edge to it, while still producing something that DJs and fans would connect with a modern take on Detroit. On the remix tip, I chose one of my favourite producers Martin Buttrich. Technically speaking, for me, he’s one of the best and really understands the quality of melodies and soundscapes.” – Stacey Pullen
