WYS! Recordings are returning from a 2-year hiatus with a strong Ep by the Labels co-founder and former Fabric / WYS! Resident DJ Peter Pixzel. It's a 4 track EP with two originals exploring the jazzier side of upbeat house music.

The title track Rogue 9 has fat bouncy beats, a massive rolling bassline, with added snappy synth riffs to keep it high energy. The track comes to its peak in the 1-minute break where the interplay between a Grand piano and an electric Rhodes piano interplays wonderfully in the quirky scale of E minor before dropping back into its former powerful main elements.

WYS!023 with be out on all digital platforms on the 17th of December and on Pre-Sale on the 10th of December.

After the successful first volume released last year, Jean Pierre's label Pakate Records is back with another Various Artists compilation to celebrate one of the busiest weeks of the year. As always, Miami Music Week means seductive groovy beats, stripped-back drums, and hip-moving Latin influences. With its seven original tracks - "Pakate Alike - Miami 2023" contains everything you need to get your body moving throughout all the WMC marathons.

Opening cut "This Is Why" sees label-head Jean Pierre teaming up with fellow NYC artist David Berrie for a malicious, scattering jazzy jam, followed by a tight techy number by Rhoowax and the highly addictive "Problema" by Shahar & Motum with Luquez on the mic. To follow, we welcome back Rhoger & Blockhead with the bubbling "G Woman", Cuttin' Headz affiliate Daniel Orpi, Trangaz & Lowest and Davide Mentesana, all providing essential dancefloor tunes. Bolla Afrikan Basement debuted with a warm welcome in 2008 as a limited 7". Initiated on raw Afrikan rhythms and psychedlic vocal and melodic overtones, Afrikan Basement has been exciting DJ's and music lovers alike across the globe ever since and continues to do so with the most recent feat of " Makussa".

We heard the request for the full-length story to be told and it has arrived.

This is the debut single of musclecars, a DJ / Producer duo consisting of two native New Yorkers, Brandon Weems and Craig Handfield. As musicians, they equally share an admiration for the art form. Their desire to blend genres and express their appreciation for music is focused around their community- the end goal is to bring people together. Through a regular stream of high quality mixes, they have begun to turn heads in underground circles. 

In 2018 they launched ‘Coloring Lessons’, a party that was aimed to add value to their city’s nightlife culture. While the party and sound is not genre specific, it is heavily focused around house, disco, jazz, and soul, embracing the musical elements of their black and brown ancestors. The monthly party's intention is to bring New York City's dance music scene back to what it was during the golden era of NY nightlife. They aim to spread the music that has been influential to them, and share it with a younger generation of their peers.
