Calvin is from the Many Children clan of the Blood Tribe. He is a promotor of the Kainai Way of Life. He was a past member of Sacred Big Holy Society for 23 years and is a current member of the Brave Dog Society. He is a Board member/Elder Representative of Red Crow Community College, was a member of the 1986-88 Blood Tribe Chief and Council, former Crime Prevention Coordinator of the Blood Indian Reserve, and former member of FNMI Advisory Council for Lethbridge Community College. He has worked in following fields: Child Care, Juvenile
Corrections, Correctional Officer and Community Release Officer (Social Worker) for Alberta Solicitor General, and Emergency Medical Response. He possesses a broad range of knowledge and awareness and understanding of the history, culture, world views, and contributions of Blackfoot People. He is very familiar with tribal governance both Traditional and Contemporary and has knowledge of the terms of Treaty 7 negotiated by Chief Red Crow with the Crown. He is
