Just a bit of messing around with my Keytek CTS-2000 and a bunch of effects. The playing is messy (playing slowly is hard!)but I really rather like the sound. The effects might need some toning down though (also fix the mixing so it doesn't clip). Mind you, it did take an awful lot of time to get the keytek to sound this way, the interface is terrible.

Keytek CTS-2000 + Delay + Chorus + Reverb

Generated using a little python script I wrote.
Based on two simple waveforms (tri and square), add phase shifting, duty cycle modulation (on tri waves, so duty cycle modulation probably isn't the right term) and modulated linear interpolation between the two waves, and also a little frequency modulation. 

I intend to eventually implement this in some sort of dedicated real-time controllable device. Right now I'm waiting for some hardware so I decided to start experimenting in python.

Oscillator Experiment #1 - Dancing waveforms

NOTE: This isn't really supposed to be music. It is the raw output of an oscillator module.

This was generated and recorded real-time from my home-made STM32F4-based digital oscillator module. There are 5 oscillators running, each with a waveform interpolated between a square and a sine, duty cycle, phase shift and of course pitch and amplitude control. 

This recording is basically just me fiddling with the parameters.

I am pretty sure the glitching in parts of the recording are due to a badly soldered pot freaking out. Also my pitch pot is all wrong (single, linear), I need an extra for fine tuning. You might hear me fighting it in some parts

Oscillator Experiment #2

Just a little midi-sequenced demo of my DIY synth. (currently) 4-voice polyphony, 3 oscillators per voice, no filters, added some reverb in Renoise. 

Everything but the sequencing and the reverb is running on the STM32F4 Discovery board. Code can be found on github at https://github.com/apvanzanten/SacrosonicMk2 (utterly lacking documentation, sorry)
