The process for creating this song revolved around expressing myself about a dark time in my life, where a battle with mental health left me with internal scars that I still deal with to this day. A little over 3 years ago, I was blindsided by debilitating PTSD that forced me to withdraw into myself and ultimately lose aspects of my personality. I truly was at war with myself. I created this song with the intention of normalizing mental health struggles by opening up about my own inner-demons.

The inspiration for this song? A drive out of town late at night, sitting and talking, laughing and gazing across the city to the ocean and the stars, seemingly below on a cool, clear night. 

Jussi,  with acoustic guitar in hand, strummed the main rhythm and the rest came together in the studio the next day.

Dramatic and sweeping, the guitars resonate from here to there, crossing the space in between.
