God created us in His image to know and glorify Him (Genesis 1:27). But we have all sinned (Romans 3:23), separating ourselves from God, and the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23). Yet God, in His great love, sent His Son Jesus Christ to live a sinless life, die on the cross for our sins, and rise again from the dead (Romans 4:25, 2 Corinthians 5:21).
