With great percussive tribal productions and Djing in that NY style, George Aponte aka Saliva Commandos is a rising star of the underground New York scene. He is no novice to the New York underground scene, born and raised in the Bronx, NY he was both exposed and influenced at a pivotal time in music history and dance. Memories of Street Jams in the neighborhood and DJs like Zulu nation sparked George’s interest in DJing. In 1996, George “Saliva Commandos” established himself as a producer with the underground hit "SERVE" on Progressive Records followed by several remixes under the Progressive Records label. By 1998, George released his first track, Serial Buff. The song quickly became a favorite for such DJs as Junior Vasquez, Danny Tenaglia, Johnny Vicious and many others. In 2015, George launched the IN:COMMAND RECORDS Label and released his first track on the IN:COMMAND label “I Love nobody else”. He has since been able to produce and release continuous music while creating his own niche in the Afro-House scene including: “When I was Puerto Rican”, “Knapp your hands” and “Soulchesico” just to name a few. There's no better way to start than with our annual Marathon Set at the legendary Club Stereo in Montreal on January 1st, New Years Day. There are only a few places in the world were we can do this crazy thing of playing so many hours, and the reason why this happens is because Stereo is Magic. Stereo is a proper after-hours that doesn’t serve alcohol, so there is no bottle service, no confetti, no bullshit, the only reason to be there is for dancing, dancing till your feet hurt. The sound system is completely hand made by Tommy Piscardelli, the owner, and is one of the best in the world, which is closely followed by a great lighting system and a perfect DJ Booth. The monitors sound like a production studio, the booth is super comfortable and is the perfect height to the floor. The capacity of the club is proper, not too big, not too small, just intimate and cozy. It has also a mezzanine that create a second level where you have a whole view of what’s happening and of course a dancing spot too. But all this is useless without the most important element at a club, The Crowd! And let us tell you that Stereo can boast of having the most loyal and educated crowd in the world, one of the best we’ve ever seen. For more than 15 years Stereo has been a mandatory stop for the best DJ’s in the world.  A place made by music lovers for music lovers. Thats why we call it (((Home))).
So this is it, here we are, live, 9 continuous hours, a true trip into our sound.  Close your eyes and join us, welcome to Stereo in Stereo!

Beatport nominate Saeed Younan for best tech-house track (Beatport award). He was also nominated for Best Breakthrough DJ at the 2003 Dance Star Awards. These milestone events gave him the global recognition and provided the opportunity to push his sound further and captivating audiences worldwide. Saeed has headlined at prominent clubs across the globe in exotic locations such as Ibiza, Egypt, Bulgaria, Dubai, Miami, Amsterdam, Tokyo, Madrid, Russia with the list going on and on.
As a producer, Saeed is currently entering the busiest period of his career. Not only is he playing at different destinations on a weekly basis, but he also stepped up his production and remix work. He's had numerous top 10 singles on Beatport, traxsource, and other reputable digital download services; released six mixed albums; and worked with some of the biggest dance labels in the industry.
Born in Iraq but living in Washington DC since the early 80's, Younan grew up listening to a variety of ethnic music. As a result, his musical sound resonates with percolating beats and sonic grooves. His production have been dubbed “timeless” by top DJs and even referred to as a “change of heart for dance music.” His vision is clear, yet simply stated: “I just want people to enjoy my music as much as I enjoy playing it for them.”
Saeed Younan is certainly a busy man with many jobs, but armed with his fierce work ethic and an unlimited passion for music, he welcomes each new challenge. "It's a lot of juggling," he admits, “but I'm used to it, I've done it all my life. I'm excited about the future, about my label and my production work. I wake up every morning and ask, what is going to keep me going? What can I do that nobody else has done yet? What's next?”
