Long-time executive producer for label boss Oliver Huntemann and other artists, André Winter is also the man behind a number of prolific underground projects and releases sind 1995. Most recently André focusses on releases under his real name and now he drops his third tough-as-nails EP on Senso Sounds - both tracks primed for serious mainroom detonation.
'Argo' builds the tension expertly, before whipping us into delirium via deep synth bass tones that will shake club systems worldwide. The sound design is exceptional, provi- ding plenty of space in the mix amongst the groove. 'Norse' increases the BPM a notch or two, and delivers a hypnotic, loopy groove built around tightly programmed drums and an infectious melodic line. Once the huge lead synth lands, you can see why this is destined to melt some minds on discerning dancefloors this year.

John Digweed’s Bedrock label is focused on releasing exceptional, forward-thinking electronic music, constantly working with some of the world’s finest artists, whose musical palettes are intensely inspired and musically diverse. Quivver (aka John Graham) is one such true musical innovator, a legend in electronic music circles and renowned as being one of the scene’s most essential creators since the early 1990’s. 
The chilled ‘Reprise’ versions of (the excellently titled) ‘Mumbo Jumbo’ and ‘This Was’ were critically acclaimed highlights on the recent ‘Bedrock 18’ album, and now, to kick-off 2017 in style, the original club versions are set for their own single release.

As you would expect from one of the world’s finest electronic producers, innovative experimentation flows freely through Quivver productions, with ‘Mumbo Jumbo’ leading the way…

“The title ‘Mumbo Jumbo’ came about as I was trying to come up with vocal ideas for the track and did what I usually do - sing nonsense lyrics and try to find a good melody, at which point I usually go back and write proper lyrics, but since I liked the sound of the vocal I left the random nonsense as it was - then fed some of it through Alchemy to make it sound even weirder.” - Quivver

This element of open-minded electronic research has created an exceptionally original element for what is a gloriously groovy, hip-swinging, melodic gem that constantly mutates and develops from start to finish. This spirit of experimentation is continued with the deeply delicious vibes of ‘This Was’, and yet another perfect late-night Quivver delight is the end result.
On the live front, John has been keeping busy playing Quivver shows in South America, Amsterdam, Budapest, Ukraine, and Liverpool recently, and is currently readying himself to tour Japan in late January 2017. Never one to shy away from a creative curve-ball, he has also had a lot of fun playing a couple of live shows recently under his old drum & bass moniker – Skanna – a project he intends to revive with some new releases in the coming months.

The first lady of underground music Hannah Holland makes her debut on Crosstown Rebels with Fade To Me featuring her long standing collaborator, friend and fellow Londoner, Josh Caffe. Cult favourites Tuff City Kids aka Gerd Janson & Philip Lauer step up with a remix and dub to complete this stellar collection.

Having met on the dancefloor at one of Damian Lazarus’s parties in the early 00’s, Holland and Caffe bring their signature sound, which they describe as “sleazy as hell!” With a career in underground dance music spanning over a decade, Holland is a lady who understands what works. With her experience and Caffe’s vocals, Fade To Me is for those who long to be absorbed in the music.

German duo Tuff City Kids provide a tight remix that ups the tempo and twists the sound into their own, and conclude the EP with a sublime dub version. Having previously remixed Azari & III, Avalon Emerson, Sven Väth and Scuba to name a few this is a duo that are revered by their peers.

DJ, producer and founder of the labels Batty Bass and Native City, Hannah Holland is a solid figure within the underground dance scene. Earning her stripes through early London residencies at Trailer Trash and Dalston Superstore, she has since toured the world, had a monthly show on NTS and released on Nervous Records, Get Up Recordings and Classic among others.

Josh Caffe is an assured figure within the scene, having been a vocalist for numerous house and techno releases, DJ’ed at some of the biggest festivals, resident and founder of Night Sheen whilst also producing his own music.

His music, whether in the form of his melodic, gospel-inspired Floorplan output or as himself via M-Plant, has always sounded fresh and unique, while always bearing his quintessential sound.

He's made an appearance on the new Landside remix EP where he joins Bambounou, Etapp Kyle and Edanticonf for edits of 'Signs of Change' and 'Desert Lake'. His re-imagining of 'Signs of Change' is a classic slice of Hood magic and you can listen to it first here.
