Shine Grooves (Hanagasumi, ФАКТУРА) is a specialist in live and experimental electronic music, blending software and hardware in his studio in Yekaterinburg, Russia. On this sophomore full-length he cultivates an otherworldly Space Garden on a distant planet, populated by alien organisms that move to their own extraterrestrial groove. Dawn breaks and the garden slowly comes to life on ambient opener ‘Morning Mood’, setting a promising tone for the day ahead. A kick shuffles in to work on the dubby ‘Tribal Acoustic’, which builds and builds before leading us into the industrious bounce of ‘Japan Sequencer’. This latter, first optimistic and later frenetic, ends the A-side’s warm-up and primes us for action on the B. ‘Tool’ is self-explanatory, a refined, stripped-down dub techno weapon honed for an afternoon’s hard work. After that exertion, ‘Evening Radio’ is the perfect cool-down, its delicately skittering percussion contrasting with sweet, improvised synth melodies. Finally,the ambient ‘Night Reverberation Jam’ is the sound of darkness falling, our garden’s lifeforms settling down to rest before the cycle begins afresh.

There were once many worlds on this Earth. Each had its own land, language, population, borders and history. There were people and societies.
They already looked alike, but they didn't realise it.
When the borders disappeared, the looked at each other, but by this time suddenly, the languages and the histories also disappeared.
The present worlds do not have any Earthly home, they have moved to the kingdom come of the collective subliminal sociostasis.
There they are still living for a while, exactly so long as humans have human form and the time for transhuman cultures arrives.
To fumble about in this gap of time bubble, that has been opened for a short time between the collapse and the vanishing of the borders of cultures: this is the science of Ishin-denshin burdened with Heisenberg’s paradox.

Kontra-Musik returns with a new release on its sought after, vinyl only, white label series. The label that from the start has celebrated analogue expressions of dance music, this time presents long time label collaborator PST (famous for brilliant releases on labels like Workshop, Sued and Kontra-Musik).
On the a-side PST brings us a 15-minute-long analogue techno meltdown. The track is so powerful the vinyl almost melts when played. On the flip the mood is different. The title of the first track, Houseparty +, is to say the least very revealing before PST ends the EP with his signature mood music house sound. PST is a master of his craft, and it is with joy and pride we release a new, hand stamped vinyl after a few years of Covid hiatus.

The forest offered an escape, it was their favourite place to frequent to help free their mind from troubles. Everything seemed to have a calming effect: the soft flow of the stream, the green leaves rustling in the light wind, sounding something like a distant flute meandering through the trees. Everybody needed a place like this. Here, merriment was free and it was unlimited...

After putting together a hefty V/A compilation in aid of bushfire relief earlier this year, Sydney-based label Moonshoe return for something a little more bitesize - a debut EP from local artist COUSIN. A refined first release, the four tracks explore heady and psychedelic realms, bringing together organic dubwise rhythms and hypnotic subs that give us a sublime introduction to the world of COUSIN.
