As a label that’s been growing for just over five years now, there are certain artists who’ve shaped our journey long before we even knew we’d start one. DJ Caspa @tundecas41 is one of those djs. We’ve been listening to his sets for more than a decade, long before the idea of launching this podcast series was even a thought. And if there’s one thing that’s stayed consistent all these years, it’s the sheer quality of what he delivers. But Caspa’s story runs even deeper. He picked up mixing at around the young age of 16, and from that moment on, music became a life path. Growing up during the acid house and Balearic era, the spark was lit early. His first love was Jungle Music and like any true selector, his vinyl collection exploded fast. He chased fresh sounds relentlessly, from early radio sessions in the '90s on stations like Weekend Rush, Pressure FM, Rinse FM, Unknown FM, Deja Vu, and Magic FM, all the way through to building one of the most respected Sunday shows on Rinse FM itself. Caspa lived through multiple waves of dance music, growing to a seasoned club DJ. He’s played up and down the UK and regularly traveled abroad. The sound on this podcast is 100% unreleased music from his friends in the scene. In addition to his club and radio legacy, DJ Caspa also curates his own acclaimed podcast series Upfront & Personal, known for hosting high-calibre guests such as Chris Stussy, Mr G, Djoko, Josh Butler, Anotr, Sidney Charles, Larry da Kat and many more. Bio:
Iran-born DJ and music producer Afshin Mohammadi, better known by his monikers SHINNIE and United Rockstars, has performed at major events such as Sensation Black Moscow, Stereosonics Australia, Future Music Festival Malaysia, and the F1 After Party in Singapore. He has shared the stage with notable artists like The Prodigy, The Chemical Brothers, Ace Ventura, Tall Paul, Scot Project, and Cosmic Gate at events across Australia, Southeast Asia, and Europe. Since 2008, he has released over 200 records, including singles, 12 EPs, and 4 studio albums, through his own imprints Tripbox, Machines Don't Dream, and Echoing Emi. In addition to spending time in music studios in Istanbul, Yerevan, and Tbilisi to craft his ever-evolving art form, he is dedicated to mentoring emerging artists through his forward-thinking music company, OXYTOXY, all while remaining true to his global dance-floor communication system: trance music.
