Description: I adore the original version of this track so I wanted to present my take on it. Like many others, the combination of analog/digital synth sounds with ones that resemble 8 bit ones makes the old remixes from the cartoons some of the best ones ever made, it's a shame they were never released.

This idea has been circulating in my head for a long time and I've been meaning to find the energy to actually put it together. That DX7 melody was the first thing I kept hearing in my head and the 'quacking' brass in the background was also a must.

Shopping Trip

An idea that I've had for a while, to create some sort of 'calypso', Mario Kart, City-Pop ish kind of track. This was going to sound much different but it eventually came into this. Experimenting with more jazz chords again, really helping to bring the '80s' in this piece.
I think some of Sonic CD/Mania comes into play in the chorus section, amping up the 'actiony' sound as opposed to the happier verse sections.

Overworld Theme - Super Mario Bros. 2 (Thomas Theme Remix)

Another in the 'commercial' theme of music, well sort of. I've always wanted to compose an elevator music piece, Bossa Nova style. I'm too fond of the DX7 to not use it for 'catchy' pieces, the horn is so charming.

Elevator Ride

This was inspired a lot by AquaMIDI's brilliant remaster of the original soundtrack in a fresh but nostalgic format. As usual, I also like to put an 80s twist on things but here I was inspired by the DiC cartoons again. I wanted to have that kind of 'used in a sequence in the show' sound so I stuck the original arrangement and wrote a bridge inspired by one of the later remixes of the song.

Hammer Bros Theme (80's Remix)

Decided to revisit this one as it's one of my favorite Mario pieces and I like to do a take on the themes as if they were used for the old DiC Cartoons. I love how they kept the timbres close to the games but added an analog twist which brought them to life

Another classic from Super Mario Kart! I love this one too, the jazzy solo around the middle is absolute brilliant. I love the tropical, jazz fusion this soundtrack has going on which feels a little out of place with one or two of the levels but overall but that doesn't affect the quality of the music at all.

Super Mario Kart - Donut Plains (DiC Remix)

What this track has evolved into compare to it's original demo is crazy lol. But I may upload it that at one point. It was originally a more melancholy ballad type of track that was transformed into somewhat of a night time slow jam. I wanted to use the claps in here for something for ages and here felt like a good moment to let them pop.
