Nice pattern break here! Lettin' it breathe before you start layering in some other differences is a nice touch.

I would kill the cutoff on the intro string, it's way too "bright". A more muted sound would be better; some sample libraries have muted string sounds. I think you have atmosphere down pretty flat. I would shift focus to rhythm and melody. The 00:38 bassey synth sounds like a bit too cheezy for and out of tone; maybe a longer release and harder distortion and a lowpass filter might do the job.
