Blue hour in Joshua Tree is such a spiritual experience. The feeling of vibing fire-side to music with friends surrounded by the beauty of the vibrant desert as the sky fades to dark and the  stars settle in and illuminate the night sky. The time and place to heal. 

Often we bury our emotions, memories that are painful to surface. But sometimes to move forward in life, we need to let it out, to allow ourselves to feel deeply, to open our hearts. To understand that these experiences have shaped us and led us to where we are today. It’s okay to cry, just let it all out, let yourself heal. I hope this mix can serve as a form of music therapy and bring you peace and solace as making it did for me. Thanks for listening.

Heard It Here First Mixes Vol. 7: ALIGN

As fall fades into winter, the tempo of the world begins to slow down. 
In creating Slay Ride, I wanted to convey these changes and curate a musical journey to carry you through the holidays. This mix has my favorite tracks ranging from Deep House to Groove and everything in between. I wanted to put together something that you can listen to while sitting around the dinner table drinking and telling stories, to cranking it up and turning the living room into a dance floor. Pat Milbery and the boys at SoGnar Creative Division created the artwork that perfectly captures the vibe. I hope y'all enjoy the next 90min as much as I did. Happy Holidaze // JACOBY
