Update: Added a verse linking humans, dogs and sponges to our evolution and a more refined suggestion that pets choose us as opposed to the other way around... thanks again to a comment steer by my wonderful Italian band seers, https://soundcloud.com/beatingedge who taught me how humans and dogs  and all mammals really are still sponges... All mammals retained the sponges skill and use it built into our reproductive organs by means of what's called the corpora cavernosa which is pivotal to arousal and our physical bonding when multiplying and exists in both female and male sex organs. Osmosis baby!

I believe we need to separate anatomy from any other trains of thought where possible so kids can learn it properly instead of from the point of view of confusion. In the face of an internet that sexualises most aspects of life I think any opportunities to teach what needs to be taught to balance out the fiction created by the porn industry is positive. Understanding anatomy I suppose will help them better navigate that fake world that's inevitably thrown at them. Even if we would like to protect them.. We can't fully, so we need to balance that with real!!!

Wonderful Dogs. It seems at some stage in the last 60,000 years, wolves got the idea to leave the pack and mingle with humans. I used to think about domestication as us choosing the animals for help. But the more I think about it I feel the opposite is probably more true or at least they choose us as much as we do them.

It was during or just after the last ice age apparently so that, I would assume coincides with less food for wolves in those moments. Maybe they were clever enough to woo humans into becoming their source of food and initiated the mutualism under that frame of reference.

It's very interesting thinking of animals as the more clever ones compared with us. They are normally way more tuned to their instinct then humans or at least rely on it more heavily then we do with their lack of human referenced reason... Maybe our reason is too limited to fully understand their truths so far because we have virtually shut off the perspectives we evolved with. Their eyes. I think it's safe to say our populations large majority completely takes for granted the path all life paved for us to be here now.

Grass can also represent this. Maybe it's grass that chooses us so it can be so prevailant in the world. We love grass and I guess grass loves us because we love it so much. Who made that choice? Us or the Grass. Who knows. Maybe the Dogs told the grass what's up and they taught each other how to woo humans into co existence... We are deafening ourselves a little bit to that mutualism. Time to go rabbit mode, ears up and see what all the other creatures have to teach us. Any volunteers to be tamed by a tiger? 😆

Reading the Holy Quran is a great way to overcome turmoil, anxiety and distress, and to relieve us. There is one particular Ayah in particular that Prophet Muhammad ﷺ spoke of, that is said to give its reader great benefits in this life and the afterlife – Ayatul Kursi (Surat Al-Baqarah 2:255), also known as the Verse of the Throne.

Virtues and Benefits of Ayatul Kursi

1. Narrated Abu Huraira: Prophet Muhammad ﷺ ordered me to guard the Zakat revenue of Ramadan. Then somebody came to me and started stealing of the foodstuff. I caught him and said, “I will take you to Allah’s Apostle!” Then Abu Huraira described the whole narration and said: That person said (to me), “Please don’t take me to Allah’s Apostle and I will tell you a few words by which Allah will benefit you. When you go to your bed, recite Ayatul Kursi, (2.255) for then there will be a guard from Allah who will protect you all night long, and Satan will not be able to come near you till dawn.” When the Prophet heard the story he said (to me), “He (who came to you at night) told you the truth although he is a liar; and it was Satan.” [Sahih Al-Bukhari] 

The Virtues and Benefits of the last two verses of Surah Baqara

1. It is reported on the authority of Ibn Mas’ud that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Whoever recited the last two verses of suratul baqarah at night, they will be sufficient for him.” [Bukhari]

2. It is reported on the authority of ‘Ali (RA) that he said: “I do not consider it fitting for anyone who has understood Islam to sleep (at night) until he has recited AyatAl- Kursi-and the ending of Surat Al-Baqarah, for they are a gift to your Prophet (SAW) from the treasure which lies beneath the Throne.” (Narrated by Ibn Mardawaih) 

The Virtues and Benefits of Surah al-Mulk, Sajdah and al-Waqiah

1. Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that Nabi ﷺ did not use to sleep until he recited Alif Lam Mim Sajdah (Surah 32), and Tabarakalladhl biyadihil mulk (Surah 67). [Tirmidhi]

2. Abu Hurairah Radiyallahu ‘anhu narrates that Nabi ﷺ said: Indeed, there is a Surah in the Qur’an having thirty verses, which intercedes for its reciter until he is forgiven. And that Surah is: Tabarakalladhl biyadihil mulk (Surah 67). [Tirmidhi]

3. It was narrated that Abdullah ibn Mas’ud said: Whoever reads Tabarakallahi Biyadihil Mulk [i.e. Surah al-Mulk] every night, Allah will protect him from the torment of the grave. At the time of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) we used to call it al-mani’ah (that which protects). In the Book of Allah it is a surah which, whoever recites it every night has done very well.  [An-Nasa’i]

4. The Prophet ﷺ said, ‘Whoever recites surah al Waqiah at night would never encounter poverty’ [Ibn Sunni 620 and Ibn Kathīr]

وَ قِلَّۃَ حِیْلَتِیْ
