I decided to cover this song after watching Selena's mind blowing and soulful performance of this song for the first time at "Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE" during "American Music Awards 2014" in Los Angeles, USA.

This cover is on a slightly higher key than the original song.

I had somehow never figured that I would possibly even consider covering this song.

I went to this event at the University of Southern California called USC Thornton 2016 PopFest which was held on April 3rd at the USC Carson Soundstage hosted by the USC Thornton School of Music. It was like magic. I felt so good being there. It felt like I was in the right place. That's where my heart lies. I particularly got the idea and motivation to cover this song after watching Brooke Aulani perform the acoustic version. That moment I knew I wanted to cover this song soon. So here goes. 

I hope you'll like my rendition of Zayn Malik's latest song, Pillowtalk from his debut solo studio album, "Mind of Mine".

And every time 'Cheap Thrills' echoed in my head, 'Focus' by Ariana Grande would automatically fall in place when I'd imagine. So I mashed them up together!
