ffountain has been staged spatially as a 14-channel sound installation on 1st and 2nd of April 2022 at University of Arts and Design Karlsruhe. It is committed to the idea of pop culture being a strong political medium of our current times, but also creating a peculiar sphere of listening, bodily activation, community building and countering commemorative culture. 

ffountain is a counter-fountain. It references a misogynist fountain in Karlsruhe („Brunnen auf dem Stephanplatz“) in form and spatiality, but collects voices that grapple with this patriarchal history and its contemporary continuities on various dimensions.

The mixtape includes tracks by Aïsha Devi, Anne Imhof & Eliza Douglas, Billie Eilish, Charlotte Adigéry & Bolis Pupul, Dope Saint Jude, Eartheater, Fauna, Jojo Abot, Kaleo Sansaa, Little Simz, Peaches, Princess Nokia and yeule, whereas every artist/duo had their own spatial position/their own speaker.

ffountain is a diploma project by Vera Gärtner. The mixtape has been realized with support by Luise Peschko and Lorenz Schwarz.
