Heard this track when it came out on the album on Beats in Space records. Really loved it and wanted to have a low down indie disco-ish edit for those late night dirty disco vibes ala Gerd Jansen.

Salah Sadeq & Khalil Touihri - 4 Blondes (Khalil Touhiri Instrumental)(Stripped Off) _ Snippet

A studio session in Paris after an inspirational Time Warp Mannheim weekend is where the track came together. 
Paris with a K is a mix of feelings/grooves that come together. 

Sounds born from house and techno memories/influences of Parisian escapades with good friend and brother Jef K. 

In many ways the EP is an ode to Jef and the french crew. 

Jef was an obvious pick for the extra special french touch on remix duties and for some home grown flavour my brothers from Lebanon Ronin & Nesta provide a deep franco/mediterranean twist. 

The EP comes together as a nice family affair of electronic music spreading through regions and generations of Good Times.

GDR004 follows on from where our last release left off (DJ Sneak – The party of all...) and keeps the GDR vision intact; to present fresh musical perspectives while using the label as a boutique platform for interesting artists with great music.

For his debut release on GDR, Bahrain-born Salah Sadeq (who along with Hoolz won the Beatport remix competition to remix Yousef’s ‘Italo Sleeze’ on Circus Recordings) comes through with his first EP featuring French underground House maestro Jef-K, Dubai resident Salar Ansari and underground artist Hoolz.

The EP marks a new collaborative direction for Salah and encompasses a wealth of sounds and vibes from his collective travels. Collectively, the EP works its way through the more minimal spectrum of House music with its sparse choice in sounds and flow but keeps it’s underground sensibilities intact.

The first solo release from Smokingroove's own Monsafe see's him taking a more minimalist approach with this dark, broody number. The drums roll up with an almost military mood, the main riff keeps everything flowing with a Japanese(ish) sensibility and the clarity of the finished production let you know that he knows what he's doing in the studio.

As part of a 3 person group for Mawane's SAS workshop I was teamed with Atheer and Ahmed. 

"Abandonment of a space of a past scene and the objects that occupy it’s present. A vacated life with no foreseeable future, just the elements imbued, reflection and refraction of the objects. A collective behavior taking us into unknown illusions of an infinite."

Reaching a state of hallucinations as they  descend to the void. The physical reality shrinks but the emotional space expand. You lose the sense of orientation as the void fluctuate as it consume you. As you move away, you reach the level of certainty again. A glimpse has past away. as their stories and emotion mesmerise you. Even the most elegant thing may turn into incomprehensible things as we leave things behind."

The creative director, DJ & producer has a flair for reading and connecting with the crowd, creating that mercilessly upbeat and unpredictable sound that makes us feel emotion on the dance floor.

Simply put, Salah Sadeq’s music is the joy in a child's eyes when he does something naughty and knows he'll get away with it.

A passionate global artist who, for the last 24 years, has thrived in the field of music and design, he has developed his sound across time, collaborating with a number of high profile international and regional artists, venues, labels, agencies and brands.

An experience of Salah’s magical sets is one that remains with you for days, weeks and months. It’s from within his passionate soul that he reaches out, with a style of music that spans deep - house - groovy - electronica - techno - acid - disco - dub - abstract beats and pieces that get under your skin; a truly experienced versatile style that never fails to infect the listener with a dirty groove.

Born and raised in Bahrain, he developed his skills from the very young age of 14, performing at the infamous “Tameem” night club, varied underground gigs, which led to him becoming the weekend resident DJ at “Likwid” Bahrain from 1999. Gradually, he took over running his own nights at the club, on the island, and in the region, building a reputation that resonated with his Dutch audience in Amsterdam, where he began to make his mark on the international circuit.

Close to home, he has played alongside a number of big artists in Dubai, too many to list, with Laurent Garnier, Josh Wink, and Sven Väth being stand-out moments for Salah.

His adventures have seen him play in Berlin, Amsterdam, Toronto, and Tbilisi. He’s been behind the decks across Europe and the Middle East, and toured India.
Aside from repeat returns to Amsterdam Dance Event, he’s played at Pacha Festival Amsterdam, Silver Network Anniversary @ Showcase Paris, and Sven Väth’s 2015 Tour in Beirut, as well as at a few intimate gigs at the iconic Studio 80 Amsterdam, The Woods Brussels, and Lisi Woods Tbilisi.

Collaborations are some of his favourite things, working and sharing across artistic endeavours, and he’s been a part of projects with Beirut In The Mix, Half Baked in Dubai, Ohm Event’s Ill Communications, Electric Days, Infusion Magazine. He’s built the popular weekly radio show The Crate. His concept Techfui, born out of his early days in Bahrain, is the definitive ethos of his artistic and creative self, and has invited guest DJs like Ame (Frank Wiedemann), Peace Division, Mazi, and more. The Techfui ethos has lived on with his sets, collaborations and the family has grown, with the label launching in 2014.

On a brief hiatus in his homeland Bahrain after living between Dubai and Tbilisi, Salah is a regular at leading venues and nights in the scene. His love for mixing music has, in recent years, lead to regular productions and collaborations, seeing Salah release his first EP aptly titled “Techfui” on Gold Drama Recordings featuring Jef K, Salar Ansari, Hoolz, and Mi.Key in 2014. Shortly afterwards, he released his second EP “Paris with a K” on One28 Recordings with remixes from Jef K and Ronin & Nesta. Since then, he’s worked on a number of collaborations, 2016 seeing the release of EP “4 Blondes” on Stripped Off with Kay aka Khalil Touihri, “Ummm” on Enfant and 2017 starting off with “Sleep Smoker” on Proper Slap with Hoolz. 

His latest collaboration effort has seen him team up with Cheh as duo “Saché & Saché” with a V.A. EP out on Ukrainian label Nastroy, a couple of remixes under his Salacious alias for his brother Sadeq on Diametral and Rada on QM Allstars. Known for not sitting around Salah has kept himself busy during the said hiatus with new collars with Rashed Aldhaen seeing light in 2019.
