from waters, from soil,
from the ancient forests of this Earth.

I summoned back the pieces of myself
scattered through longing,
expectation,
and outward desire.

I cut the cords
that drained me
without return.

All my fire arrows
are returning home —
to nurture this egg,

nested in my core.
