The beat started with me sampling the main vocal melody from J Balvin's "Mi Gente". I also sampled the humming/guitar section from "Drugs You Should Try It" and the last verse from "Backseat Freestyle" by Kendrick Lamar. Tremolo strings were added for suspense in certain areas, and I played some simple rhodes chords to go with the transposed mi gente sample. The 808/bass line goes dumb, and I know i suck at mixing & mastering. Hoping to progress with my sound soon. Drop a comment and lemme know what you think !
