We proudly present our new podcast provided by the Argentinian/Norwegian artist, and Krill Music label boss, Espen Lauritzen. Espen was born in Norway and raised in Buenos Aires, where he founded Krill Music in 2011. The list of artists realized on Krill Music includes world names, such as Matrixman, Jonas Koop, Dimi Angelis, and our locals, such as Stanislav Tolkachev, Detcom, Danilenko  
In Europe, Espen refined his sound and released on various labels such as LNDwht’s maiden release (curated by Gareth Wild and Dax J), among others. His work got picked up by Fiedel and was so appreciated that Espen started DJ’ing at Berghain’s Klubacht, hosted by Fiedel himself. Espen Lauritzen well known in Kyiv as he was a resident of Metaculture club.

PREMIERE: Kcik - In My Mind

An all-nighter, shared by two individuals who randomly connected via the Bergen Techno FB page as they both share a passion for fast-paced rolling grooves, bunkers and illegal raves, graffiti and loooove connecting with other like-minded humans. They set out to play all night long at Frequent Fridays, a techno night at Bergen's Stereo venue, and smashed it. Starting off with slow hypnotic techno at around 120, the mix quickly picks up and drives the crowd into a 144 bpm frenzy.

In 1991, the Dutch duo L.A. Style, founded and produced by Wessel van Diepen (who later contributed to the creation of Vengaboys), released "James Brown Is Dead." The track made an impact on Billboard's Hot 100 Airplay chart, becoming the first techno song to land on the Billboard Hot 100.

Despite its title and lyrics, James Brown was alive at the time of the song's release and did not pass away until December 25, 2006.

While some sources suggest that the song was inspired by a 1992 broadcast that falsely reported James Brown's death, this claim cannot be accurate, as the song was released in 1991. The actual origins of the track remain tied to the duo’s creative vision, rather than a specific news broadcast.

Following the release of "James Brown Is Dead," the Dutch techno group Holy Noise responded with a track titled "James Brown Is Still Alive," which was also released in 1991. Although L.A. Style’s song suggests that "the hardest working man in showbiz is dead," Holy Noise's track was considered a direct answer, affirming that James Brown was still alive at the time.

In a modern twist, Jeff Millions has taken on the challenge of remixing "James Brown Is Dead," adding his unique sound to the iconic track while preserving its energetic and pioneering techno roots.

PREMIERE: Unknown Artist - Kcik 9 (Original Mix) [Kcik]

"Universal Nation" is a song by Belgian DJ/producer Mike "M.I.K.E." Dierickx under his alias Push. What began as small trance studio project in late 1997, became an international commercial success over the years. The song was first released in 1998 on the legendary Belgian trance label Bonzai Records. After receiving positive reviews, the song was signed in France, Spain and Germany. One year later, other European countries followed (UK, Italy, Norway, Sweden, The Netherlands). Due to the several individual releases, the song has three different titles: Universal Nation, Universal Nation ’99 and Universal Nation (The Real Anthem).[2]

Mike Dierickx is generally praised for his high quality productions. Universal Nation is often quoted as an "all time favorite trance record". In 1999 Universal Nation won "Best club single Move-X Dance Awards".

Universal Nation was followed by "Cosmonautica", "Legacy", "Please Save Me" (feat. Sunscreem) and "Strange World". All of them were extremely well received in the European clubscene. Today Universal Nation is regarded as an ultimate trance classic.[citation needed] The phrase "proceed with visual attack formation" is sampled from the 1984 film The Last Starfighter.[citation needed]
