but I will cross their barriers, their check points
their damn apartheid walls and return to my homeland

And did you hear my sister screaming yesterday
as she gave birth at a check point
with Israeli soldiers looking between her legs
for their next demographic threat
called her baby girl “Janeen”.
And did you hear Amni Mona screaming
behind their prison bars as they teargassed her cell
“We’re returning to Palestine!”

But you tell me, this womb inside me
will only bring you your next terrorist
beard wearing, gun waving, towelhead, sand nigger

but those are your copters, your F16′s in our sky

Our premiere off @paso-1's new record on @fina-records comes from the B2 slot. "No Matter Where You're From" is a hazy, rising jam suitable for the deepest of late night motions. Sustained chords create a bittersweet texture above a smacking clap and kick. Looped, pitched and filtered vocals serve as the verse before a playful lead adds on to the progression. A nicely twangy solo helps signal the end of the morsel.

Hot DAMN I love this track. @jacksonalmond has really impressed with his output on WotNot of late, and he gives new label @curverecs the perfect maiden voyage with his lush 'Take The Time EP'. @ddanvers @campion and Mike Wilkin are behind this new label (who are now accepting demos, btw) and they've come up trumps on their debut. This incredibly pretty, sensual slice of deep cutesy house shows how to do the roughed-up aesthetic in style, and is hugely addictive little number befitting of the likes of HNNY. Go buy.

PREMIERE: Jacssen - The Beat (Luvless Remix) [House Cookin Records]

The Neovinyl boys ready the 84th record in their catalog with another artist EP from @Carlothings, one of the label co-founders. He’s been on the rise lately, releasing fantastic projects and singles via SUOL, Laggafe Tales, Organic Downbeat, and most recently, Beste Modus.

Carlo's turned up the energy on this EP, and the three soulful house cuts are a welcome change of pace from his other, more relaxed projects. Once again, impeccable sampling and drum programming shine through on each track, and fans of Carlo’s music will be pleased to hear his signature Berlin influenced sound on each of the EP’s tracks.

Happiness pervades the entirety of “Little Talks,” and it’s obvious that newfound fatherhood looks good on Carlo. Track one sees him working again with collaborator Nikoss, who’s piano work sits perfectly within a jackin’ tune full of funk bass, deep pads, and swirling strings. Carlo finds the perfect loop on track two, filtering it in and out to highlight a soulful vocal that rips over dusty, organic percussion. The project’s closer is a transportive affair through vintage jazz sounds. It’s a deeper, quirkier affair that seems to be perfect closing track for another standout effort from, Carlo.
