Composición sonora en la que se integran biofonias de la penumbra resaltando el lúgubre canto del bien parado o pájaro estaca,  Nyctibius griseus. Se destaca por ser un ave de mediano  tamaño (38 cm) de ojos grandes y amarillos.  Plumaje de tonos grises y marrones que le permite camuflarse perfectamente con los troncos de los árboles.  Ave enigmática por su postura característica vertical en las ramas, mimetizándose con troncos muertos que habita en la zona cafetera de Colombia. Los campesinos asocian su melancólico canto con presagios y augurios, como el anuncio de la muerte o como un guardián nocturno de las fincas cafeteras.
