Walking In The Woods

#8 in a collection, this is a traditional song of the Dakotas tribes. 
It is transposed from sheet music for modern Native American flute to an Indigenous-tuned instrument. 
A friendship song, that could be about a lover going away and being called back or a friend leaving temporarily and being missed. "I'll see you again someday.”

Indigenous Collection Poweshiek Traditional “Wioste Olowan Tokiya"

#9 of a collection, Amazing Grace was written in 1772 by a Christian minister and adopted by the Cherokee people as their national anthem, during the forced relocation of the Cherokee peoples from the Southeastern U.S. to present-day Oklahoma during what is now called The Long Walk. What is now infamously known as “The Trail of Tears”. Many perished on the difficult journey, but because of poor conditions, the Cherokee were not always able to give their dead a full burial. Instead, the singing of Amazing Grace had to suffice. 
This song is played on a replica of a Northern Plains Indigenous Flute. The original replica design was created by Dr. Richard Payne and this replica of a replica was made by Jon Norris. 
Doc Payne, a noted Indigenous flute historian, was instrumental in helping preserve the songs and the sounds of the old style indigenous flutes.
This flute plays in something close to a Diatonic Major scale or close to Mode 2/5 of a modern NAF.
